Carolyn is the best! She met me after I’d just had one of two of the worst haircuts I’d ever had in my life! I spent an entire weekend actually crying over how awful and how much of my hair hair been, literally, hacked off with a razor “for texture” at a different salon. I’d just moved to Anchorage and braved a new stylist and in doing so, was humbled to say the least. I didn’t think there was much that could be done to help, but I was too embarrassed by the haircut to not try and find someone to help. With only a shred of realistic hope, I braved another first visit into another unknown stylists chair…Carolyn’s. Thank goodness! She not only fixed the awful color and brought me back to a recognizable blonde but also smoothed and shaped the hatchet-job that was choppy and frayed into layers that fell in a sculpted and polished look I could be proud of and feel professional in at work, in public and in private. Before she fixed me, I had to avoid even glancing up I. The mirror while brushing my teeth in the morning so I wouldn’t start crying again, and after my visit to her, I had solace without shame.
Since our first meet, she has been a joy to sit for two more times, and when I left this last time, I received compliments from my brother that “my hair looks soooo much better” —brothers, right?!? But, I knew he’d be nothing but honest with me so I take the compliment at full value! And another stated “oh wow, it looks just like the day I met you!”
I’m so glad I found you at You!, Carolyn! Couldn’t be more grateful about that seemingly fateful happenstance!

I wanted to get a haircut freshen up style that I had been thinking about for a while. I chose "any level 3 stylist" and by the chance of the universe landed with Michael. I feel so lucky and he was incredible! I am usually very simple with my haircuts have never had my hair cut/styled in a specific way besides getting trims! I showed Michael a photo of what I was thinking to get, and asked for his professional opinion and style that he thought would work for my hair, and he FULLY DELIVERED. I have never had any sort of bangs, and now I have curtain bangs with beautiful, intricate, layering and awesome face framing. I have never had a cut match a photo idea so well. The shampoo and wash was very relaxing, and the amount of conversation felt appropriate and unforced. I was really nervous about the cut but his confidence, clear expertise, and support eased my nerves. He didn't try to talk me out of it which was really nice too. The cut is excellent, and I was honestly so impressed. I am so happy about how it turned out. When he first spun the chair around after it was styled, I was floored with how well it looked! I am sad that I am from out of town and won't be able to return because that was truly one of the best haircut experiences I have ever had and would definitely be back otherwise! Thank you thank you thank you Michael! 10/10 recommend!

Megan Y. did such an amazing job on my hair. This was my first time dyeing my hair. She did exactly what I asked and offered suggestions and it pulled my look all together. She explained her process so well and now I am in love with my hair. Great customer service, great services, very happy with the experience.

I absolutely love coming to You Beauty Lounge! Everyone is super welcoming and friendly from the front desk staff to the providers. Bomi has done my hair several times now and she always does an amazing job, whether she is doing highlights, a haircut, or just a blowout. My hair is much healthier and looks so much better since I have been coming here! The staff is also very knowledgeable about the products they carry and always help me find the right products for my hair and skin type.

This was my first time with Kyra and she did such an amazing job with my hair. She was super friendly, great to talk to and intuitively knew what I wanted. The colors she picked out for me were fun, bright and awesome and the time and care she took with my hair while bleaching, coloring and cutting my hair was fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back here for all my salon needs.

Would definitely recommend, cute cafe on the front and a nice salon in the back. Felt very professional and clean, my London fog tea was yummy and my hair turned out amazing. My stylist, I think her name was Marissa was super nice and fun to chat with. She made sure to ask about my hair history and the bleach worked well without breaking my hair or anything bad! The color is very nice and she helped me pick out some products along with how to care for the color to help it last long and stay vibrant. Everyone seemed professional and kind, customers seemed comfy and happy with the results all around a nice salon ?.

*update* It’s been a month or so now and the color I had kept well and I am going in for a second appointment for upkeep and a trim ?. I’ve recommended some friends and coworkers as well since I was very happy with the services provided ?! The way Marissa dyed it has made it grow out nicely and my natural color blends right into the red nicely, attached are two pictures of the day I got it done and then months after at work and what not, I love how it looks in the sunshine?!

I just saw Audrey again last week. I would follow this stylist ANYWHERE. Audrey is so thorough, attentive and detailed in her work. She is a perfectionist and will not let you leave her chair unsatisfied. I look forward to my hairapy visits with Audrey, not only for the great hair she does, but also she’s so fun to talk to and she really takes care of you as a whole, not just your hair

I was thrilled to meet Master Stylist ISI at You Beauty Lounge. He took my dry damaged processed hair and my request to make it look fabulously rich in color and frame my face lightly and did an amazing job. The color is rich and vibrant. The cut has a long frame on my face to support easy style days. He also masterfully kept my length, trimmed the damaged away, and layering the ends to lay beautifully and to style nicely on my up style days. You Beauty Lounge and stylist ISI took very good care of me and I am happy to recommend them.
