After 20 years of not getting my hair professionally cut and having never colored it-my hair was reaching epic lengths and epic greys! I was terrified to get my hair cut. I did my research and admittedly stalked some stylists. I chose Whip Salon of Newtown and also chose Gianna as my stylist. Not only did she listen, but she took the time to ask questions, think about what would be best for me and made it known if I was unhappy in any way- we would change it. But there was no need for change. Her vision was unbelievable and spot on. She brought me out of my comfort zone and literally made magic happen. My hair has never, ever looked as healthy and as vibrant as it does now. I am so thankful for her and her skill! 10/10 !! The team there was equally as awesome and it was truly a pleasure going there! Can’t wait to go back!

Whip salon Newtown is the best! My first time getting a balayage - and I called a few places before I went with them. I live two towns over but was pleased with their efforts to accommodate my tight time schedule. I was not disappointed with their salon skills. Jesse, who was my specialist, was just wonderful! Patient, sweet, meticulous, and very good at what she does! I love the results, and am excited to show them off! The whole salon is a friendly, cheery, warm place. Would not hesitate to recommend.

My experience from start to finish was exceptional. I use to go to whip and stopped due to old stylists. I decided to give the salon another try and they didn't disappoint. Lisa was extremely thorough she asked what my needs were and heard me. I had not cut my hair in a long time and needed a lot of coverage due to using box dye and grey hair. She priced out everything we discussed to make sure I was okay with paying for the services before which most salons won't do. Lisa was one of the best stylist I have dealt with in years. She showed she cares about her clients and will be the reason i go back. Daniel was also a breath of fresh air who assisted her. They both were so knowledgeable and brought such a fun energy to being a salon. My hair came out better then expected and that is because Lisa put in the effort to making me feel beautiful again. I would suggest her to anyone that wants a true salon experience.

I want to start by saying that the salon did everything they could to fix the problem. But my haircut is a tough one. I don’t want to throw anyone under the bus publicly - but please do your research when booking and ensure you’re working with an experienced stylist at this salon. I came in once before and had a great experience. That was not the case this time. Even after fixing, my hair is still so very uneven. The initial stylist said my hair had to be longer in the front because it shortens over time. I questioned her but at that point it was too late. I know many people with hair that is shorter in the front - or same length straight across which is what I asked for :(. In the below photo my finger shows where i indicated the SHORTEST I would be comfortable with her cutting. Not only is it about 2-3 inches shorter that that but the back pieces are even shorter and uneven. The only way for a true fix would be to go really short and now I am stuck. Again I won’t name the stylist but please do your research. I called the salon about my usual stylist since she was booked out and they assured me any of their stylists would be great. I have an event this weekend so I booked a time in advance of it. I am now paying the price for trying to get my hair cut in time for the event I have and the effects will be long lasting 🙁
The second stylist who fixed my hair to the best of her ability did all she could and was awesome. they did not charge me. But still just a really sad experience and I am pretty devastated. Be careful when booking.
