Walnut Hall Estate is an absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding. The staff and owners are so kind and helpful. They allow you to book tours of the venue so you can figure out how you want the layout of your wedding. They also have a wedding guide they send you which was so helpful to me! The house on the property was a big thing for us. We were able to have our bridal party and parents stay the night the whole weekend. Venue is one of the most important choices for a wedding and I’m so glad we chose them. I highly recommend!

Walnut Hall Estate has EVERYTHING (and I do mean everything!) you need for a stress free wedding weekend. I've had three daughters get married since 2019 and I've explored LOTS of venues in the process of helping choose each one... Walnut Hall beats the rest by a landslide. You just cannot find the number of amenities offered HERE, anywhere else, and it makes Walnut Hall my "forever pick" for the best place to hold a wedding!

To start... you have the use of not ONE but FOUR separate areas (not to mention the beautiful "grounds" which include an old silo, koi pond, tree swing, firepit patios, outdoor light strings, etc).

The most standout feature is the huge brick turn-of-the-century home that is dripping with character and photo "ops". The house truly can sleep a LOT of guests and it is very tastefully decorated. It even includes a "grooms quarters" in the basement complete with couch/tv and poker/pool tables.

You have the Ceremony (former Dairy) Barn which comes complete with beautiful chandeliers and seating in the form of traditional pews as well as individual (nice) chairs. There are concrete sidewalks that link the Ceremony Barn with the Reception Venue (the white barn with huge wood doors).

The reception area has absolutely everything including mens/womens restrooms, kitchen, bar, DJ area, greenery wall (which is a perfect backdrop for a dessert table). They have enough tables and chairs to seat a very large guest list (ours seated over 300 VERY comfortably!). There are long rustic wood tables for the head table (my daughter's head table seated 18!) With such a gorgeous space, MINIMAL decor is needed.

The cherry on top was the ADDITIONAL guest house (which is where my daughter and her new husband spent their first night as husband and wife... wink wink:) Though it could have ALSO been a perfect place for parents/grandparents as it has two bedrooms, living room, full kitchen, etc.

Add to this the fact that Brittany & Bobby (owners) were both attentive as well as AMAZING to work with and you have a combination for everything an event venue SHOULD be, but oftentimes is not! This is their passion and it shows.

Due to having use of the property for the entire weekend, not only were we able to start decorating on Friday (important when you have a 20' U-Haul filled to the brim) AND we were able to host the Rehearsal Dinner "on site", which was huge in that we could "rehearse" and then just steps away have the beautiful meal, catered by The Brass Door (local restaurant who are pro's at providing services at Walnut Hall). The girls had a "girls night" in the big house on Friday and then the entire wedding party stayed on Saturday.

Directly across the street is the Greene County Fairgrounds (with electric/water for anyone who might want to pull in a camper for the weekend) as well as several very nice VRBO's in the town of Carrollton.

I simply could not find ONE THING that could have made our daughter's wedding any better and we are ETERNALLY grateful for that. If you're on the fence... let this help you decide...as I was not compensated in ANY WAY for this review... just a mom & dad who were 100% satisfied...you will be too!

Walnut Hill was the venue for our neices wedding! There was lots of space, delicious and savory dinner, top shelf drinks, and some awesome flavors of popcorn for an appetizers! Carmel and cheese with a kick of cayenne! Everything was spic and span clean! We enjoyed celebrating Katelynn and Tyler's Wedding there!

The owner of Walnut Hall Estate Brittney was absolutely amazing from our first visit of the property until the days after our daughters wedding. The grounds are perfection! The houses are wonderful and fully equipped with anything you need. The chapel was the perfect location for our daughters wedding, with Brittney being outside the doors with her making sure her dress was perfect to walk down the aisle. The reception venue is beautiful and the staff are wonderful! I can not say one negative thing about Walnut Hall Estate!

I'm a Walnut Hall bride as well as a wedding photographer. And what I can tell you is you wont find a more beautiful/accommodating wedding venue in the whole of Illinois! Our wedding was absolute perfection and the guest houses are something you wont find anywhere else. I have the pleasure of revisiting frequently to shoot weddings here and it is always a joy working with the Walnut Hall staff. The work they put into this venue is unmatched, they definitely have provided the answer to a need in our community. If you're thinking about Walnut Hall for your wedding, stop reading this and book that date! They are worth every single penny.
