If I could give it ZERO stars I would. The old man DOES NOT do fades, he cuts off hair that we didn’t ask for and he will make you literally bald? He’s super nice, but I wouldn’t recommend going here at all.

I hate to have to give this place a very negative review. It’s the kind of place you’d love to love, but I received the very worst haircut ever. I asked for a trim, and he took nearly everything thing off—and then explained he was worried about taking even more off! It will take months and a good trim to recover. And then he left it pretty messy, with odd hairs sticking out here and there.

As I said, it’s the kind of place you’d love to love, but, guys, I have to warn you….

NEVER COME HERE, WORST HAIRCUT EVER! The older man “cut” my hair I told him I wanted a fade that came down to a 2 then got mad me for whatever reason because I wanted my hair done how I wanted it, not to mention he was shaky the whole time which was a bit worrying, and once I could tell he already messed my hair up I asked him to stop he tried forcing me in the chair to finish the cut I told him I didn’t want to and I would have someone else fix it then he tried charging me the full $25 charge even though he only did half of the service and messed my hair up. Worst hair cut experience ever. There was also hair all over the waiting chairs this place is not very clean nor friendly.

It’s $20, cash only. There, there’s the price for those complaining about not getting a price over the phone. And FYI, it’s the best haircut you’ll get for that, and better than what you’d get, even if you spent much more anywhere else. Great barber, great classic atmosphere, this is the real deal, not some hipster bs recreation.

One of the barbers here absolutely messed my husbands hair up (they also messed a friends hair up). He asked for a fade and a trim, they basically just shaved the sides of his head as well as cutting off so much length off the top. The worst part was they squared off his widows peak WITHOUT asking or telling him. It’s going to take 6 months to grow his hairline back out. My friend also had his undercut messed up, the line was super jagged. I would not go here.

Worst haircut ever. Came two month ago and got a lopsided haircut for $12. Thought I'd try again as I like to support the local businesses. Brought my son there today and the younger, more reckless barber charged me $25 for an absolute rotten haircut. When I reminded him that he charged the guy before us $15 he said no way, his prices are $25 for everyone. Worst haircut ever for my son. Like I said I like to support the local business man but these guys are thieves.

This is one of the hidden treasures of Durango. It is a old fashion barbershop, complete with nostalgia and ambiance. The owner is friendly and inviting.
This would be a great choice of shop for a grand parent to show their grandchild and explain how life was.
The only down sides are that the cut itself is slightly expensive ranging from 15-30 dollars.
It still is worth a look around even with out the hair cut.

I've received satisfactory cuts from the older barber, Tucson, on a handful of occasions. On my most recent visit, the younger barber (didn't catch his name) absolutely butchered my haircut. I wasn't finished describing what I wanted before his clippers were on my neck. I requested a side part with a tapered neck and he gave me a close fade. These are not similar haircuts. I left and immediately went to a different barber to repair the horrible haircut.

Avoid this establishment and choose a more professional, modern option in town.
