Fantastic adventure at Talon Lodge. From the manicured private island, to the fantastic beach bar, to the impeccable personalized service, to the amazing guides/captains/deckhands who make the fishing adventures easy and a way to learn and go crazy fishing, to the absolutely 5 star dining - everything about Talon is top notch. We caught so much fish and it was effortlessly taken care of and ready to ship home. Great adventure and loved how seamless it was.

We had an amazing experience at Talon Lodge. Alaska is amazing and Talon does an amazing and unique way of delivering it. It’s not just the fishing, but the food, drinks, hospitality and amazing views are just a few of the things that take this place way over the top. Captain James and his deckhand Colby were truly amazing. James put us on Kings, halibut plus everything else. Can’t say enough good things. It’s a 6 star review…You better go!

This was my first time at Talon Lodge and the stay exceeded my expectations! The scenery is amazing. The rooms were warm, clean and comfortable. The fishing was great. The food was gourmet. Absolutely delicious. I was most impressed with the staff. They made you feel welcomed and right at home. The captain and crews on the boats were very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a great time and can’t wait to go back!

What an incredible experience. The views, the lodge, the grounds, the gourmet food, the service, everything was fantastic. I really enjoyed the fly fishing as the guides were extremely patient and knowledgeable in teaching a first timer. The scenery is beautiful along the hike to the creek. Just a peaceful and picturesque spot to fish. Kudos to Phil and Gwen for being such wonderful and gracious hosts.

We had such a wonderful experience at Talon Lodge. Phil & Gwen make this place extra special with their eye to detail and generous hospitality. I was mesmerized by the views every day and rewarded with amazing sunsets. The staff was top notch and the guides were absolutely amazing with their stories and knowledge of the great outdoors. Can’t wait to return.

This was my 15 year to Talon and it never fails to “wow” me. The owners, Phil and Gwen, are the most gracious hosts you could ever ask for. All the staff were attentive and professional! Fishing was fantastic and the boat crews and captains are great at making it an enjoyable experience.

Where to start at Talon Lodge?! Emaculate grounds, warm and inviting lodge, outstanding culinary experiences and a hospitality team that is unmatched! To be honest, the staff is a reason in itself to visit here! Incredible from the meeting at the dock to the departure from the lodge. Friendly, excited, attentive…they make you feel like you’ve stayed there 100 times before. From the dining service, to the deckhands and boat captains, all were amazing! I even had the pleasure of speaking with the culinary team who were renowned chefs, true to their craft, delivering a one of a kind 4 course dining experience night after night. Unbelievable! Not to mention creative breakfast offerings to start your day and a chef prepared lunch with homemade soup on the boat. But behind this whole experience are two incredible hosts, Phil and Gwen, who know the true meaning of hospitality. There family and staff live for your enjoyment and it shows every step of the way.
PS. The fishing is outstanding too!

we have flown from grand rapids michigan to sitka 4 times to go on our adventures at TALON LODGE... two before covid, two after.. each year it gets better and better! our family owns and manages hotels and restaurants so we always seek out the best of the best. we are fishermen, fisherwomen, culinary snobs and love our cocktail hours.. the team at TALON holds all those in high esteem. we love the cooking classes after a long day on the boats, the friendships made and the memories never to be forgotten. the unique food and bev program that phil and gwen have developed brings a warm, friendly and professional atmosphere to the compound of excellent service. my wife and i value this trip as our best annual and we are headed back last week of july in 2024... this is a first class, open book , honest group of hosts that exceed all our expectations. DONT MISS IT IF YOU GET A CHANCE TO GO!!!!
