Kathryn was so patient and accommodating with my need to schedule a group spa day with friends. The waiting area smells incredible, the treatment areas are fresh and clean. All the gals loved their experiences (facial, massage, wraps) and are talking about going back.

I'm new to the area. After lifting a lot of boxes during my move, I knotted my neck muscles badly. I booked a massage with Susan to focus on my neck, shoulders, and back. She was very thorough and really helped work out the knots and stress in my neck, shoulders and back. Susan is very professional and I had a great conversation with her too. I will definitely book another massage here with Susan.

I was the Team Lead at this Spa.

It was with my entire Heart and Soul that I served here.

I gave my entire being, my full heart, my full attention and gave and gave and gave.

I spent my own hard earned money buying healthy snacks and making meals to feed the Team.
I spent time and energy that was unpaid here.
I suffered a lot of emotional, and verbal abuse here by other employees and Kathryn Fairbanks herself who was not only threatened by me but she was jealous & worked to undermine my success there.

At first I was a breath of fresh air for her. She named me the Team Lead Therapist.
But then rescinded on all responsibilities that entailed.

She didn't pay me for my time that I spent in training for that role with her which I spent a great deal of hours that were never even acknowledged by her nor considered something I would be reimbursed for.

Because she refused to pay me for my time is why she didn't respect the gifts I brought.

I brought the entire place alive and even neighboring businesses and the neighborhood as well that people claimed.

I shared everything I could including outright spending around $300 or more per month on everyone working there, buying $10 beverages almost daily while there.

It was not returned with much appreciation but rather disrespect, abuse, even slander.

One employee named Courtney almost physically threw me out of the Spa while Kathryn was away.
And Kathryn promoted her, an abusive person who always showed up late and didn't do her job, to a manager position while undermining me at every turn.

My clients had to come in via the web booking because no one ever booked me otherwise.
In fact, others were given clients who would rather see me in order to 'balance' out the power structure there.

Never allowing me to shine and offer my talents and gifts.

I am writing this review to invite all of you clients who patronize this Spa who genuinely want to continue to access me, to see me at my office in SF or wait til Spring when I'll have a lovely space also in Berkeley.

Kathryn lost the chance of a lifetime with me to expand and grow her business and to partner together for the common good.

But she was entirely too ego driven, greed driven, prideful and phony to be willing to partner.

In fact she runs the place like a dysfunctional family unit.

Praising those who ruin you or gossip or compete, and those who perform badly, while punishing her best performers such as myself who was almost never late but once or twice by a few minutes.
I always communicated very clearly & genuinely put my full heart and effort and attention into delivering the best experience for the clientele there.

Going above and beyond.

But no, Kathryn didn't just seekto undermine me, and rescind on her agreements saying it wasn't in her business plan, but then she writes in all of this new stuff in it and lies to me.
I wrote a blog post on Lymphatic Massage and she went so far as to keep it from me then silently edit it and then pass it off as her own writing.

She also first was on board with doing retreats which would greatly bring revenue to the Spa which was much needed she says form one side of the mouth while saying 'we are swimming in money' on the other side.

She kept me there as a slave. Or at least that was her intent.

After one month from when she agreed to have certain people do the retreats, she went against it because she didn't want me to have deep loving connections with clients as I had shown before.

In fact on numerous occasions when clients got so excited and said my massage was the very best they've ever had, she would get so jealous and then prevent them from rebooking with me.
It was so manipulative that if she and they had cooperated I would have been fully booked all week long or at least all day long continuously.

She recently, after I had a build up of regular clients, who were dedicated to seeing me monthly and some weekly, whose lives were greatly benefitted by me and my healing touch, pulled the rug out from underneath me and them, and terminated my work contract there.

My friend and I went in blind - no clue what to expect. And Omgoodness - so so so so so good. No, great. Fantastic. My friend had a facial with Katherine and she was so happy with her treatment. I had a basic 60 minute massage (Swedish, I think) with Inesse that flew by in what seemed like 7 minutes. If you’re looking at reviews and trying to figure out where to go for any facial or body treatments, you will THANK me for referring you to this sweet little place. I’m from Chicago and have no shortage of day spa options - and I know what’s good and what’s bad. And still, I wish I were closer to Sundhari so I could go back - NOW.

Staff is professional and holistic and takes into consideration my skin sensitivities and preferences for massage pressure, as well as ingredients in skin products. I highly recommend this gem on Solano Avenue. It has really made a positive difference in my wellness. My skin is much more radiant and smooth and I feel more confident going into the world after my visits to Sundhari.
