I’m very impressed with the professionalism at Scales Barber Academy. I bring my 2 teenage sons in every 2 weeks. Great price and excellent haircuts. I also like to see the students working on their craft and engaging with the customers.

I’ve been going to Scales BA for over a year now. As a Veteran I saw the sign for free haircut for Vets and decided to take a closer look. The students and instructors are professional and well mannered. They treat you like family. I enjoy each visit. What a great atmosphere. Thanks Scales for taking care of the Vets. Go Air Force!

I can honestly say that the expectations of a Barber School is often times uncertain and even questionable, but not here at Scales. Rest assured that you will be well taken care of. I can honestly say that two of the students here "Kennedy" and "Q" have made me second quess my desires to go to barber shops anymore.
The professionalism and quality of workmanship being performed here speaks volumes about the educators, instructors and owners.
These students work hard and they prove that you can still get a quality product at an excellent price point.
I almost feel like I robbed the place today leaving here with what feels like a $60-70 shave and haircut for $13. I actually suggested that the prices be raised or at least an additional line be added for this type if work. Most barbers won't even use a straight edge razor in a shop anymore and still charge you 50 or 60 dollars, plus tip.
When I Googled Barber Schools near me while in McDonough as an alternative to going to the school I had started patronizing in College Park, I didn't know what to expect, especially since I wasn't completely satisfied with the other school, but I charged it to being students and kept it going. Scales is a Barber Shop with students, not a school of barbers in training, at least that's the way you'll feel when you leave. I know I do.
Thanks Q and Kennedy and all the others I came in contact with, because this place operates professionally, not like a junior college full of youth just doing something to be doing something.

Had the pleasure of Tim cutting my hair. Was very nice, kind & knowledgeable. Kept asking questions as to what I wanted throughout cut. I told him I'm very easy when comes to cutting hair, it's just hair & will grow back.
If you get a chance please stop by Scales, wear pink ur cut is FREE, to me means, tip big, these are students

First time at Scales. Scales (Owner) was very welcoming, professional and informative. First impression is everything! The facility was immaculately clean and organized. Suf and Jarrett did my boys haircuts. Honestly one of, if not, the very best haircut experiences my boys had. I highly recommend them.
