As an autistic individual who has social anxiety, I normally don’t feel comfortable at hair salons, but this is the first time I ever felt relaxed at one. Austin was very professional and did an amazing job with my hair! I’m so happy that I finally found a hair stylist in town who understands my hair type. I’ll definitely be returning. My long hair was a sensory nightmare, and not only do I feel comfortable now, but also cute with the new hairdo

Even though I didn’t exchange many words with Nick and Whitney, I find them to be wholesome!

Not only was she the best to talk to, she educated me on my hair and the process along the way, I love my hair she did a great job ? I’m so upset with this salon. My cut is not what I wanted. I have long hair and left with these uneven short layers. Called and explained that something wasn’t right about the cut. It didn’t seem blended. The owner booked me to fix it. Went to that appointment and left unhappy still. It’s still not blended. It’s not what I wanted or like on myself. I have these super short top layers with long hair underneath. I spent $300 for a cut and color. The color is great. Cut is awful. I left so upset and unhappy. And now wasted all this money on the color to just have to wear it in a bun. It’s uneven and looks awful. It’s like my hair has two different distinct levels. I’m embarrassed.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I was very skeptical because I don't trust many salons with my hair since I've had many experiences with stylists telling me they have experience then leaving my hair looking like a giant frizzy mess or telling me to follow an impossible to maintain in order to upkeep my hair.

When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff who offered beverages and asked if there was anything I needed. They were so lovely.

My stylist Jennifer was absolutely AMAZING. She was inquisitive because she wanted to make sure we were on the same page so I would have the results I'm looking for and she was so receptive to my wants and dislikes. I showed her a picture of the shape I wanted (I only wanted a cut) and she completely understood. She was just so incredible, her attentiveness, the way she explained every single step in the process and even used science with supporting facts. She also explained and demonstrated how to practically care for my hair and style it on a day to day basis to achieve the look I want and overall hair health. ALSO she informed me about curl types, and so much more. I literally am so excited to go back, worth every single penny. LOVE this place!!!

P.S.
They did not push me to buy any of the products they used. My stylist Jennifer simply mentioned that they were available if I was interested and that was that, I really appreciated that. I did buy the Ouidad gel, it's pricy as a brand but good.

I love Salon San Carlos and every team member there! From my online booking/profile experience to reception to cutting+styling I feel so taken care of and appreciated as a client. Jacki is the best hair artist and only crafts masterpieces! I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair or this specific cut. I leave the salon looking and feeling great! On Saturday, November 9, 2024, my daughter and I visited the salon to get our hair done for my daughter’s beach wedding. It was a wonderful experience! Alma and Katey did such a great job for us. Our hair turned out so nice. We both were concerned about our hair not holding up because it was extremely windy but that was not the case at all! Despite the heavy winds on the beach and a night of dancing, our hair was as lovely as when we left the salon. Alma and Katey listened to what we wanted and were so anxious to please. We both got so many compliments on our hair. I highly recommend this salon!! A special thank you to Alma & Katey for taking such good care of us on such an important day, my daughter’s wedding!!

I absolutely loved getting my haircut here! My hair was cut, shampoo and conditioned, scalp massaged, and blown dried in a blow out fashion. It was my first time and everyone was so welcoming and friendly upon entering the building. A beverage was offered to me and the lady at the front desk kindly made me a coffee. The atmosphere was relaxing with good music. My stylist was Kayleigh and she nailed the vision I had for my new cut! She was very personable, made me feel comfortable, was a great listener and conversationalist. I really enjoyed my visit and I will definitely be coming back!
