The attached picture tells you all you need to know. The fact that that passes as an appropriate serving size for hungry soldiers is appalling. Soldiers should not have to pay out of pocket to buy more food because the DFAC doesn't serve enough. Oh, and they're closed on weekends too. Do better

My husband gets breakfast here pretty often after PT since we live up north. He says it's always delicious and so much food for less than 5$. Everything looks fresh and it's hot when served.

They're withholding $400 from my paycheck for this place (E-4, not married). That's about $250 more than it's worth in my opinion. All the food comes pre-packaged and deep-frozen. It's put in the oven for an hour. The flavors match this. Then when you decide to wash it down with a drink you find the machine isn't working due to lack of syrup! I can cook better meals for less than $400 a month. I don't blame the staff, I blame the cost-cutting methods.

When I come here I feel like I'm eating at Auschwitz. They never have any food. In addition the serving sizes are so small it's something I would expect at an elementary school.

Stack DFAC is a dining facility located in Fort Carson. Like any other DFAC, it provides food and drinks to all Soldiers who are meal card holders. The food is not the best, but it does provide the nutritional benefit for hard working Soldiers. Service is good. The atmosphere is good as well. This DFAC is the biggest in the post. If you are around town and are a CAC holder, come on over an experience the Stack DFAC and what is has to offer.

The food is bland. I am not sure about what happened in the 4 years that I have been gone but all the good cooks are gone too. They need to have pride in the food. Feed the soldiars like you would feed your family. Not what they are serving now. I might make the drive to Warfighter next time. Its out the way but at least they love (or pretend to love) what they do.

For an Army Warrior Restaurant (Dining Facility) this was pretty decent. Food was great and service was excellent. The only negative I had was the pop machine being out of syrup for most of the flavors.

Edit: I had this at 4 stars, but I'm dropping it down because not once, but TWICE (so far) I have watched the soldier working the grill (two different ones, mind you) cross contaminating the finished products by not changing gloves after handling raw hamburger. This is indicative of poor training and/or complacency in service.

Last Edit: well, the poor food handling techniques were persistent. In the total of 6 times that I paid attention to the Soldier at the grill station, 4 of those times I watched them handle raw beef patties, then handle prepared food.

Disgusting and disappointing.

This place sucks. It almost never updates its schedules, leaving a lot of hangry soldiers questioning if it’s even open. For dinner it’s not open long enough giving soldier who work long hours only an 1hour window to eat and get back to work. It used to be open from 17:30 till 19:00, now it’s only open from 17:00 to 18:00. Soldiers who don’t have BAS or BAH and have to rely on the dfac to be open for them to at least have one meal for the day are giving 300 dollars every check for this place to serve subpar food at best, terrible hours and a unreliable schedule to follow. Fix it, and stop being lazy.
