I love working with Missy..I have been working with her for years. I always get tons of compliments from other people about my hair and the prices are great. I once wanted to try something new for a different color and ended up hating it I always go blonde highlights and thought I would try some low lights. No questions asked missy was patient with me and had me come back in and she put a few more blonde back in my hair and didn’t charge me again. Great customer service..If I had family here I would definitely highly recommend them to her but when I meet someone new or my friends that I do know here I am always referring everyone to her. Missy I love you and keep up the good work

I recently had an experience with Missy as my hairstylist. While I appreciate her prompt response and willingness to address my concerns, the overall outcome left me with mixed feelings.

I initially visited with the hope of transforming my hair from orange and ginger tones to a beautiful blonde, with highlights on top. However, the highlights she provided ended up making my hair look like I have a bunch of gray hairs, especially since she didn't highlight any of the hair underneath. She dyed my previously bleached hair a super dark color that was nothing close to any of the photos I had shown. I understand my hair needed to be color corrected but I was hoping to be re-bleached and then toned to an ashy blonde. But instead, I was dyed BLACK. I was so upset when I left, my hair was still somewhat wet, my hair was stringy, not brushed properly, and it looks less full compared to when I had ginger hair. I walked out of there looking a total mess and couldnt help but to sob over my hair in car. I'm sorry if it seems like im doing a bit much, but my self esteem was deteriorated. I took extra steps to maintain its moisture before, and it was in good condition. I waited 6 months after previously bleaching my hair to bleach it again, making sure there was no breakage, but now my hair is back to black. Now I have to wait further in order for my hair to be healthy again and I have to wait to bleach it. I am extremely upset. While I value Missy's effort and responsiveness, I'm left wanting for a more seamless and satisfying experience. I am not sure if I would want to go back to the salon, although the small talk we had was friendly, I still felt uncomfortable. I felt dumb for not knowing certain terms, I kept explaining what I wanted over and over again and I still felt unheard. Missy did offer to add more blonde free of charge, which I appreciate, but I don't want more highlights. It will just make me look like I have white/gray hairs growing out, rather than highlights that are blended in. Wasted $150+ just to come out with the exact opposite of what I was hoping for, but I will accept my loss. I know to go somewhere else where I feel comfortable and heard.

Missy charcoal bleached my hair- and completely ruined it!
I was suppose to get my bangs cut and bc she had like 3 other people come in at the same time as me forgot to do it- didn’t even blow my hair out or rinse out all the color!
Literally a nightmare - you have be warned- she’s the
Worst hair stylist I’ve ever been to- no doubt. The annoying thing was she kept saying “I’ve done this for 31 years, don’t worry!”
My hair is destroyed!

I love Missy at Main Street Salon! She has been doing my highlights and cut for several years. I have long blonde hair and she does an amazing job coloring it (I always get two highlight colors to keep dimension in my hair). She recently gave me my first keratin treatment and I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend keratin for anyone struggling with dry winter hair. Her prices are amazing and the salon is adorable. Highly recommend!

Mainstreet Style is wonderful! The building is quaint and cozy. The atmosphere is welcoming and enjoyable. Glenda is a big part of this. Glenda has been my hairdresser for the past 6 years. I can't speak highly enough about her. She is the perfect mix of strength and caring, business and personal. She works with integrity and heart backed by years of experience. Glenda really wants her clients to feel beautiful and will spend the time and energy to make sure they get there. Family is really important to her so it makes sense that she treats her clients as if they were part of her own family.
