I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure French tips. It was 125$. The service was very basic for the price I accept that as not all salons follow similar procedures or create a luxury environment. My issue was the manicure. They told me to shape my natural nails into an oval was 5$ extra. How insane, for 125$ To make a shape that takes no more time than any other. While she was doing the manicure I kept telling the tech my nail shape was uneven, the French tip was uneven. I could tell she was annoyed but it looked terrible, finally she finished. I left looked at my nails and had to return they were so bad. Another woman fixed them in 15 minutes she did a very simple French and I wouldn’t have left a bad review but I look down today and 2 days after I can tell in her rush she didn’t clean up the nail before curing so they will lift within the week and my curl hair will get under the polish when I style it. All in all do not go here the price - the service not worth it at all. They want to be luxury but clearly are a money grab.

Update: thank you for your response but as I was just in town for the week and won’t be able to come in to get my nails done a 3rd time. As for the nail curing around the edges I’ve uploaded more photos to show what they look like now after another day they are peeling on all corners

Love Luxi!! I’ve been a regular for years, and Angela is the absolute best, but I haven’t had a bad experience with anyone there really. Huge selection of colors and they’re amazing with designs if that’s your thing!

As a guy with pretty rough hands from manual work, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but Luxor Nails and Spa completely exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly and professional, and I never felt uncomfortable for a second. My technician did an amazing job cleaning up my hands and dealing with calluses. The place is super clean, relaxing, and well-run. I walked out with hands that looked and felt way better than I thought possible. Highly recommend, especially for guys who need some serious hand care.

I recently accompanied my 84-year-old grandmother to Luxu Nails & Spa, and we were both incredibly impressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. They made her feel comfortable and at ease, which is so important for seniors.

The service itself was excellent. My grandmother received a manicure, and the technician was patient, gentle, and meticulous. They took their time to ensure her nails looked beautiful, paying close attention to detail. The polish application was flawless, and my grandmother was thrilled with the results. She left with a big smile and a spring in her step, saying it was the best manicure she'd ever had!

Stopped here on a rainy Saturday and it was already hopping so I expected a long wait for a spa pedicure. But they have a lot of technicians so someone (Laura) saw me right away. Really enjoyed my lavender spa pedicure--it came with callus removal and a foot massage AND a hand massage. Laura took her time with my sad little feet and wasn't rough. Some technicians get a little harsh with the callus sanding. The vibe in the salon was cheerful but very relaxing and there were people of all ages as clients. No loud cellphone convos and the soundtrack was a soothing jazz. Salon is also very clean. I don't live in the area (just in town for a few weeks) but if I did I would definitely become a regular.

I’ve been a loyal customer at Luxi Nail Salon for years. I’ve consistently spoken highly of this place and even referred several friends and family members, many of whom became regular clients themselves. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I can no longer recommend or support this business.

Today, when I called to schedule my usual appointment, I was shocked by the way I was treated. The receptionist—who, by the way, has been rude on several occasions in the past (a red flag I regret overlooking)—told me at the end of the call that several technicians had complained about me not tipping. I was completely taken back. Not only was this unprofessional and incredibly tacky, but it was also an inaccurate and unfair assumption.

I’ve always tipped for good service. That changed only after my favorite tech, Sonia, left. Since then, I’ve continued to come in and give the new techs a fair chance, but unfortunately, the quality of service has dropped significantly. My pedicures have been poorly done, with polish either unevenly applied or my skin being punctured from the tech cutting too deep. The waxing tech often misses spots, and despite repeatedly pointing them out, nothing improved—so I stopped saying anything to avoid further skin irritation. For the price I was paying this was absurd. A gel pedicure by me is only $35. This place overcharges for poor service then want to demand a tip.

Instead of asking why there was a change in tipping—especially for a longtime client—the receptionist decided to confront me publicly and claim I could no longer be serviced if I didn’t tip. He even went as far as saying he was “doing me a favor” by letting me know that tipping would “improve my services.” This level of unprofessionalism and entitlement is truly unacceptable. To make matters worse, this entire conversation took place during business hours, in front of other customers.

After years of loyalty, I left this call feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. Luxi will no longer receive my business, and I’ve let my friends and family know to take their money elsewhere as well.

And to the rude receptionist/owner-Pay your employees a fair wage to retain skilled technicians and avoid placing undue pressure on your customers.

I came here by mistake as I thought it was “Somerset Nails & Spa - former Luxi Nails & Spa” . Reading the reviews it appeared I am not the only one who got confused. However , my experience here was great, i had such a relaxing time and Angela was really the best, she was so gentle with my nails and I want to highlight it was my first time getting gel manicure and I felt really taken care of. The atmosphere of the salon is very relaxing and staff are very kind with customers. The reason why I don’t give 5 stars is my concern with the sanitisation procedure of the tools - which came out from a drawer and put back into a holder so i didn’t observed any sanitisation process between customers and the confusion with the similarity with names and websites with the other salon. But other than that i am more than happy with the result and the overall experience, even though I won’t return for the reasons expressed above.
