I had a wonderful experience with Lijerious Dimond Beauty Spa! I am not the type to write reviews, but I was greatly impressed by the quality of the services that I've received that I felt compelled to write one. As a first time customer, I did not really know how things worked, so there were various mishaps and misunderstandings that happened along the way. Traffic was terrible as usual today (this is Midtown after all). This, in addition to the fact that I booked an appointment on such short notice (same day, booked it about 3 hours in advance in the afternoon), Dex was understandably late.

Even so, this did not detract from the experience at all whatsoever. In fact, this situation allowed me to see just how incredibly professional she was as she immediately called back, after missing my call the first time, to give me information when I was confused about the location as I did not see any storefront that specifically had the name of the business. Turns out that it was located inside "My Salon Suite", which holds many suites of beauty businesses. She also notified me when she was on her way so that I knew to expect her arrival and gave me a complementary facial to make up for being late due to traffic.

As for the services that I've received, I had initially came in for a back treatment deal that I purchased through Groupon. The experience was very pleasant and relaxing. She was keen on being thorough and informative, which as greatly appreciated as I admit that I do not know anything about beauty and how to take care of my skin. I hadn't bothered to take the time and effort to learn about it until today. She took the time and care to explain what she's about to do so that I know why and what to expect.

With the back mask, various massages, and the hot stone massage — all against the backdrop of pleasant, calming music — I was able to rest and relax enough to think and plan the things that I'd like to work on once I get home after this session.
She addressed the concerns that I had about acne and the spots on my back, reassuring me that it's normal and completely dispelling the insecurities that I had.

The subsequent facial was very relaxing. It consists of wet, hot towels pressed and gently rubbed against my face. I felt her put various creams/serums, such as brightening serums and SPF protection, on particular areas of concerns. Furthermore, she took the care to extract the excess oils from my skin and made sure to warn me throughout the facial experience if something may be uncomfortable (the towels being possibly too hot or the creams/serums being cold — they're not the slightest bit uncomfortable at all, but that's just me).

At the end of the session, once she went out of the room for me to change back, I took a look in the mirror and was very ecstatic to find my face glowing and my back feeling smooth and soft. As I was getting ready to head out, she informed and explained to me, in detail, the routine I should have in order to take care of my skin in between facials. I've started following her suggestions tonight and I look forward to seeing how things go. Furthermore, I didn't feel judged for the fact that I came in through Groupon nor for the various acne and spots I have over my body (turns out the spots were a result of hyperpigmentation, which is normal and common). Dex is completely professional, clearly cares, and knows what she is doing and for that, I will definitely be paying another visit and I highly recommend Lijerious Dimond Beauty Spa and Dex's services!
