I finally found my barber! I have been looking for someone that can quickly and beautifully do the PERFECT tapered cut. Over the last nine years of wearing this cut, I have had some decent ones, some REALLY bad ones, and some that just didn’t quite hit the mark. I have been in a desperate search, and that search ended TODAY in Lesley’s chair!

First, the VIBES in the shop are right - happy and peaceful with laughter in the air.

Second, Lesley listens to what I want and delivers!

Third, the shop provides excellent customer service.

Finally, I left there after 30 minutes with my hair cut TO PERFECTION, and every time I see myself in the mirror, I cannot help but smile - literally first time a cut has made me feel like that on day one before messing with it.

I mean seriously - what more can I ask for?

She instantly made me feel comfortable, listened to what I wanted and we landed on something somewhere in between. The shop was bright, comfortable and inviting - as was most of the LC's team. I only write reviews when an experience really stands out, and I had an incredible experience here yesterday. After 22 years of having locs, I signed up for a Big Chop appointment to cut them off. First, since I was nervous I sent a text message and Lesley called me to talk me through the process and set expectations for what I might look like after. Then when I got to the appointment, Renah took amazing care of me. She was so positive throughout the experience, remarking on how good and healthy my hair looked and how much I'll be able to do with it as it grows out. She gave me a fabulous short cut, and she took the time to show me the products and tools I can use to achieve a nice curl. This wasn't just about the cut (although really, I am so pleased with the look), it was about how taken care of I felt throughout the whole experience. I walked out feeling beautiful in more ways than one. Thank you! I'll be back!!

I absolutely love this place... I travel from Baltimore County to DC to get my hair cut... Jo is my barber and she is amazing got my undercut looking amazing. And I feel amazing. Its a all female barbershop central to other things in the area. The shop is clean and professional with good vibes when you arrive. I recommend this shop for your hair cut needs no matter what hair texture or type you have.

I definitely had a 5-star experience, I’ll just start there. The vibes were lovely, the atmosphere was great, and the barbers were funny - everything you’d want in a shop run by queer women.

I went in for an undercut with a simple design. This was my first haircut and as a person with a lot of thick 4C hair I’m always nervous about whether a stylist can actually do what needs to be done.

Angelique did what needed to be done. She was patient, understanding, and chill. I had no idea what I needed to ask for, but Angelique had me the whole way and checked in to make sure I was getting what I wanted. I loved the results immediately.

A few days later, I’m still getting compliments. I even ran into a stranger at a coffee spot and overheard her mentioning Lady Clippers and that she would get an undercut. I showed off mine, told her how much I paid, highly recommended the shop, and assured her that she would love her experience too.

The prices are fair, the experience was fantastic. Do I have small critiques for the cut, sure - but I know the next time I visit it’ll be even better.
