I have been going to John Hancock for the last 5 years. I have always enjoyed getting a good haircut there. Britney has been my person of choice when booking a haircut for the last 2 years; her sissor-cut technique works perfectly with my type of hair (keeps my head from looking like I walked through a room full of static electricity 2 days after the cut). She also has a very pleasant personality and a good customer service demeanor. I would always recommend Britney and the John Hancock barbershop.

I literally hate being interrogated by a barber when I get my hair cut. Don’t ask where I’m from or what I do for a living, like who are you the police? I just want to sit down get my hair cut and leave. That is exactly what happened today. It was great. I sat down and told the barber Tania how I wanted my haircut and she did an excellent job. No small talk, no interaction, just a haircut. Could not ask for a better experience. 10/10 will be a return customer.

I couldn't get in to get a haircut in Illinois before heading to Arizona. Decided to head to Handcocks, and I'm glad I did! The barber I had was amazing(Keith), and the environment was top-notch!

John Hancock is all about the experience. You can book an appointment that is actually honored, get right in at the time you schedule. Everyone cutting hair is very good, but of course I have to give Britney a shoutout as she is my go to for haircuts.

The only small complaint I have is the price as you will often pay around $40 for a haircut after tip. That said, it’s a “white glove” service, so I’m happy to pay a premium price for a premium product.

Before I started coming here I was a cheap haircut guy who believed that a good haircut was one that cost less than $10 and would “look good” after it grew out for a week or so. Boy, am I glad I found this place. They deserve every bit of 5-stars.

Jacob F was fantastic. He went above and beyond with this cut. I came in to get just the sides faded he heard me say I haven’t done the top in about 4 months and offered to trim and shape that for me. Then took the time to educate me on how to do a better top knot. Absolutely amazing service.

The JHB has moved to their new location at the Founding Fathers Collective. Now when you go in for services, you can grab either a caffeinated beverage from Merchant Coffee or an alcoholic one from the City Tavern iPourIt taps. There is also a gym and a members-only speakeasy here too. Check out the outdoor deck area. And, they are planning to have food trucks onsite periodically. Looks like another new happening place has entered the Prescott scene!
