Walked in, waited for an hour and a half, which I have no problem with walking in. Finally got in the chair with a full head of hair, long enough to pull down to the bottom of my eyes. Asked for a low fade and a little off the top and got hit with a taper and 90% of my hair cut off the top. The conversation about what cut I want was clear and repeated back to me so I know the guy understood me. The cut was so bad the tall skinny guy (guy who cut my hair) gave it to me for free. It’s going to take months to grow my hair back…

I went into this shop on September 7 2019. I'm not sure of the barber's name. He was a heavy set, lightskin man with dreads. I asked for a simple haircut. However, I received the Sweeney Todd special. He cut into my skin all across my edge up. When I told the barber he cut into my skin, he tried to persuade me into believing that scarring is normal depending on your skin tone. He said, "You're light skin, and it happens to me also. Just put some alcohol on it and you will be good." The greatest lack of professionalism I ever witnessed. I should have noticed the signs when I walked in, and no one was in his chair. There was clearly a surplus of people waiting to get a haircut. I'm going to my doctor to ensure I don't have an infection. If I do, I will be pressing charges. Furthermore, he had the unmitigated gall to still charge me the full $20. I paid because people need to eat and i don't know his family situation. I understand everyone has to work, but I'm now in uniform as a military service member walking around with scars surrounding my face. My superiors are staring at me as if I did something wrong. This is my worst barbershop experience ever. I'm not condemning the barbershop, but there should be some accountability.

I usually never do reviews but I felt the need to recognize this barbershop for their professionalism and their skills. Coming from San Antonio to Columbus, there isn’t many barbers that I would let them cut my hair but Jose is the man to go. Every time I have gone, I always come out looking ?, Jose you the man! Highly recommend!

Got my hair cut because my hair was balding in the middle..I wanted to start all over knowing my hair would grow back as it always does...I got it cut a week before Thanksgiving I believe. This guy cut my hair and colored my hair...it was suppose to be burgundy but it wasn't..and my hair hasn't been right ever since...it's been itching very badly and on top of everything my hair is even shorter than what it was...I can provide pictures....I tried everything to stop the itching and to stop it from coming out...if I go to see a dermatologists and he do a sample on what the problem is and it is related to the products that was used that took my hair out and caused this major issue...there will be some problems...I don't know if the clippers were dirty or what all he put in my hair before and after her colored it....but I will find out.....trust and believe...I know who did this and I am not happy at all...my hair is ruined.....how can people be so evil and or sneaky and devious...I was major distracted....God don't like ugly and you will reap what you sow....

My son and his friends go to AJ, he is great with boys, he always does a great job! He never pushes hairlines back too far and he even takes the time to talk to young boys and encourage them on a personal level.
