Fantastic gem of a place! Amazing wildlife and probably to best spot to view manatees I’ve ever been to. I was smiling the whole time I was here. They have a great selection of birds and other creatures; mostly Florida wildlife, but several species like Lu the Hippo not found locally. I love this place! Great value for the price as well. Will be coming back!

You can see manatees here. They have a nice zoo and water habitats. You can take a tram or ship to move you through the little trail. The price is very cheap.

What an Awesome State Park! I've been wanting to come explore this Park for a couple years now... I live 3 hours away. So Glad I Finally made it and I can't wait to come back for another visit! We visited on a Thursday... I was surprised it wasn't more crowded. Love the Wildlife and that Ya'll Help RehabilitateThem. Thank You to All Your Staff for The Hard but Rewarding Work. If you are thinking about visiting... Do It! You won't regret it.

We had a great time as a family here. Take the boat to park and ride the tram back.

Our kids enjoyed see the hippopotamus, alligators, flamingos and all the other animals.
We went early and it wasn't too busy for us.

This State Park is a place of scenic green with wildlife exposure. The park is well maintained with the major attraction is to see a Manatee’s family closely within nature. The water is clean and fishes underwater are with great view when sunlight hits the water the underwater surface is clearly visible. Enjoyed the cool breeze during the hot sunny day because of the presence of thick foliage.

Loved this place! So nice and inexpensive. We spent the whole afternoon here enjoying a walk around the park looking at animals and learning about why they were there. Many were taken in as pets and then released when the fun was over. Not cool. This great park keeps them alive and teaches about them. They also take in injured animals that can no longer be safe in the wild.

Nice experience seeing the animals, but they don’t let you park by the actual entrance. Google review said to allow 45 minutes for the park which is correct, but allow another 30 minutes EACH WAY to get to the park via tram or boat to and from visitor center. 🙁

For being a state park there is so much to do it is crazy. We started at the main entrance and took the boat ride which was a great way to start the day and see how beautiful the park and some fun history about it. Then we walked all around and got to see the animals and the hippo they have. We would for sure come back and do the boat tour next time.
