Great little local secret. Got sad news on my last visit Don the Barber who is 90+ years old is not doing well. Been going there for years and always get a great cut for a fair price. Hope Don gets relief from whatever is ailing him and finds peace.

Wonderful place. Long standing operation run by a local couple. Did a walk in and got a friendly greeting from both owners and each of the waiting customers. The lady barber gave me a very good cut, asking me for input on what I wanted throughout the whole process. She did exactly what I asked and upon returning to our rental in Anna Maria, I was told by my companion that it was, “The best haircut you have ever had”.
Highly recommended. Great place with all sorts of memorabilia and reading material, friendly owners and customer base, and a VERY reasonable cost.
Buy local, you won’t regret it. I got a chorus of “Merry Christmas!” on my way out the door.

The Holmes Beach Barber Shop is my yearly 'pilgrimage' when I am on the island. You wanna talk about a great haircut? They will not disappoint you! You can also get all the local news there also! I highly recommend them!

Holmes Beach Barber shop is a small 4 chair shop in Holmes Beach. I became a resident in 2000 and have been a customer of this shop since the first day I arrived. There are 3 full time barbers(2 men 1 lady) and then Duane who is from Michigan and visits Florida during season. I have been serviced by each of these individuals many times and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this shop for anyone who wishes excellent service at an extremely reasonable price ($12). I promise that if you have your hair cut at Holmes Beach Barber Shop---YOU WILL NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!!

My son and I went for a quick $12 cut and got great conversation as a bonus. Enjoyable old school barber shop, small venue, not able to do shaves, but you can get a quick haircut that won’t disappoint.

The joy of travel! Needed a haircut and there’s only one place on the island. Why not?

Turns out not only is Duane one of the nicest guys around, he’s the former mayor of Marshall, Michigan, near my hometown. I was a little freaked out when he pulled out the straight razor, but it all worked out just fine.

It’s the barber shop you might have gone to as a kid. Highly-recommended.

I was in desperate need of a haircut and saw that this barber shop was right down the street from our rental. Place opened at 7 am and I’m sure I was the first of the day. Great haircut, good discussion, and unbelievably cheap at 12 bucks. I’m here for a month and will return to shop before I leave for another cut.
