Personnel Director Shawnia Young was awesome during the entire hiring process. Very friendly and knowledgeable and answered every question I had. I felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the orientation with everyone I encountered.

I have a family member who is a resident at Hiram Shaddox, and I've been a daily visitor for almost 3 years. The entire staff has become like a second family to me. The level of care they provide to the residents is exemplary. The facility itself is well-maintained, and the dietary food service provides a good variety of tasty meals. Housekeeping is excellent as well. There's always a fun activity of some kind going on to engage the residents. The admin staff are accessible and quick to respond to my questions and concerns. The rehab group is always busy. The kindness and good humor that the caregivers display makes things better for the residents and the visitors. I've seen Hiram Shaddox function with grace under the pressure of the past pandemic and severe weather events. I can recommend Hiram Shaddox.

My Brother is in this place and it is a total nightmare. Extremely understaffed. He is rarely checked on. Put food in front of him, he cant feed himself and they don’t help. Never clean him, leave him in wet clothing from urine leakage. Deplorable care.

I have been here going on three years. It is a beautiful facility. We have a great administrator and a awesome management team and all of our departments have caring and amazing employees. We go above and beyond to make our residents happy and feel like home. I am happy to be here at Hiram Shaddox and hope to be here many more years.

This is a beautiful, new facility! Food is great, rooms are nice and decorated beautifully. Staff is helpful and friendly. The unit manager nurse that is working there now is absolutely wonderful. She was very helpful with any concerns that came up. The director of nursing and the administrator are wonderful as well. Would recommend this facility to any one in need of therapy or a place for long term care.

I have visited this facility many times. It is always clean, staff are friendly and there are often activities for the residents going on. It’s a modern building with a cozy atmosphere.

very kind, patient and good with explaining things! shawnia did an amazing job with our orientation!
