I went to head husky looking to get my fade refreshed and my hair trimmed back just below my eye brows. I provided the barber with multiple pictures of what I wanted and she proceeded to leave my fade completely uneven and cut my hair well past my forehead. I am going to a different barber this weekend just to get the hack job fixed.

Holly is one of those annoying barbers when you explicitly tell her how you need to get your hair cut, she just cuts it the way she thinks it should be cut while verbally telling you that this is what you asked for. I’ve been here a couple times and it’s always the same. I’m done. We need better barbers here at UConn, it’s a shame what happened to North campus barbers.

Holly is the ONLY person I have ever met who knows exactly how to cut my wild hair. She’s absolutely the best! And so friendly and enjoyable to talk to as well. I’d never go anywhere else.

TL;DR - I had a lousy experience with Holly and I was devastated with the result.
The haircut was fast as it lasted only 10 minutes and had a minimal wait as she had no customers when I had arrived with the place clean and the equipment well kept. Her personality was very irritating as she frequently tries to gaslight if you disagree with her and she does not blame herself if she had made the mistake. As stated "Maybe next time you should have brought a picture as a reference" and "Hmm your barber didn't blend your hair correctly". I had grown out my hair to have bangs and she ruined six months of my work in a matter of minutes. I explained with her "a little bit off the top and fade the sides and back. The front should be up to my eyebrows" and I left with a lot off the top and no traditional fade in sight. When I expressed my disappointment she responds by combing what was left with my bangs down states "it is down to your eyebrows" while it did not even meet my eyebrows and "that is a fade" when you couldn't even see the skin on the sides with a traditional fade if you look up fade in google images. I had payed 24 dollars to ruin my hair by going to this place. I do not recommend going to this place if you are a new customer.

Holly is a pretty chill person,not hard to deal with, she is very interactive though so if your not a talker then it might not be what you like but I'm cool with it. Overall, she definitely won me over

Just happened on this shop, in great need of a cut, and got a really good one. Plus, I found out that the very personable Holly had been a friend of my dad's a number of years ago.

I got a great cut with incredible attention to detail from Holly, who also has a personality guaranteed to brighten your day. As soon as she starts, you can tell you're in the hands of someone with serious expetise and refinement. Overall I had a completely positive experience, and I look forward to going back.
