It’s nerve-wracking finding new barber when moving somewhere new but have found my barber in the valley. Dr J is phenomenal at what he does and nailed exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t give him too much description of what I wanted other than a few bad angled photos of previous hair cuts. He still nailed it. Will be going back for sure!

Hands down, best cut in the valley. Had a hard time finding a decent barber for my hair type when moving here, but Dr. J has been a life saver! I’m happy to make the trip from Glenwood Spring and will continue to see J for my fades.

Dr J really is the doctor, my haircut was surgical. I had a botched haircut coming in and I needed it cleaned up and professional before starting a new job, J really got it right. He was very consultative about how I would maintain and style it to ensure it was something I could recreate and manage on a daily basis. He did amazing work with scissors to have it layer and fall evenly. He was very professional and now I feel confident before starting my new job, 10/10.

Hands down the best barber in The Valley. If it wasn’t for J I’d probably have to go to Denver for my fades. Has always delivered when I needed a great cut. I was lucky to find him and if he moved to any other location I’d most likely make the trip to keep seeing him. Super friendly and has a unique shop. Would 10/10 recommend.

These words all come to mind when thinking about my visit's to J's. If you are looking for something specific, he's going to work with you until you find the cut that's right for you. I usually come in for a fade and it is always on point and complimented by people around me. He's a perfectionist in his craft which makes the experience that much more meaningful.

I have lived in the Vail Valley for 7 years and have been getting my Haircut with J for just over 3 years now. It took me 4 years of looking around at other shops to find someone who could do things at his level.

I probably haven’t had a haircut in 7-8 months due to covid. Needless to say, my hair was long and shaggy. Dr. J cleaned me up! My new cut looks great and I feel so much better. The shop was clean and booking was fast. I will definitely be back for my next trim. Recommended!

1st haircut was ok. Second booking was downright unprofessional. I asked to rebook since I picked the wrong type of appointment but he made it a note to let me know he "doesn't like his time being wasted" and to make sure I booked the right appt type.
Charging 50 for a regular haircut, which will only get your sides trimmed one size apparently. Book somewhere else. way tooo entitled.
