This is one of the worst beauty supply stores for black women ?I have visited here once a year 3 times to purchase supply except this last and third time time this little lady will never change she is very rude as if you don't belong there even the staff is rude from the guards to the associates. Why have a business if you can't be polite after all we are doing you a favor spending our hard earned money. I have found much better beauty salons where a smile is shared and you feel good about buying anything. I think she needs to retire or something her attitude is very unprofessional and she makes you feel uncomfortable unwelcome.

Extremely racist!!! Came in @ 7:50, the African American policer officer at the front extremely nice and welcomed me in. I asked the associate at the front where at the half wigs. He said in the back. Huge store, so in the back didn’t help. I went to look anyway couldn’t find. So asked another person. She said we’re closed. I said it’s only 7:51, y’all close at 8. She literally would not let me shop and said come back tomorrow. They were very rude, very!!!!! I will never shop at this Chapel Beauty or anyone associated with them.

I would give a zero if I could. The owners of this store is bias and will not allow you to try anything on but want your money. I drove my sister who came from out of town to this beauty supply store and they look at you as if you are trying to steal something. I suggest spending your money at a beauty supply store where they will respect you. I will never take anyone to this store again.

Update 2022
This wig store has a great selections, but does not allow you to try on wigs anymore or give military discounts. Fortunately, I have found others beauty supply stores that give military discounts and let you try on wigs. I will not shop here anymore.

When entered the store I in was in awe. This is such an organized store.There are 3 separate check out. This location have everything an an inclusive beauty store would have to include:make up,hair supplies, wigs,jewelry purse, trendy Jean's, fashionable tshirts to name a few.

The customer service here is trash … I inquired about a certain product and was told i don’t know about that you need to go back to were you found it NOW THIS IS WERE I DRAW SHE LINE UNDERSTAND THAT KOREANS THRIVE IN ETHNIC AREAS SO I’M ASKING THAT ALL THE PEOPLE WHO SPEND THERE HARD EARNED MONEY GO ELSE WHERE BECAUSE THE TREATMENT IS HORRIBLE HERE 0 Starz!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. One of the staff was incredibly disrespectful, rude, and racist. My mom approached the counter to ask a question. He did not acknowledge her. Instead he stared straight ahead. I thought maybe he didn't hear her. So, I spoke and he ignored me, too. He even turned his face further away. My mom and I were leaving without buying anything as a result. When he said "See ya". He couldn't have been more disrespectful. He clearly doesn't appreciate the business and support that all the Black people bring to this store. My mom and I will never shop here in the future. I advise all people, Black/white/Hispanic and purple, to never shop here. The staff think that the customers are lower than animals. It is that guy who is obviously nothing.

Regarding Chapel Beauty at South DeKalb Mall. I
must say I agree with most of these reviews after my experience. I suppose they have had issues with theft. But there is a level of decorum wherein they not alienate your potential customers. Anyway I went in looking for a salt n pepper afro wig for a 70tys party. The first lady that greeted me was very cordial and told me where the afros could be found. I saw another Asian lady and asked if I could see a certain wig. She got it down and put it to the side of her away from me. I thought ?. I said ma'am can I see the wig? She said, you see the wig. I said can try it on? She says No. No. You cannot. I said can I hold it and at least see it up close to look at it. She again said no no. I'm thinking, they've obviously had a lot of theft. She later in a very disparaging very irate way say, you see the wig while pointing to it. Then she says in a very rude way. You cannot hold the wig and set it back down. I said ma'am you don't have to be so rude and I walked away. I've read that Asian people discriminate against black and brown people and yes I've sensed it a time or to. But this was a bit much. Yes I recall being stalked at downtown Davidsons aka Macys and other stores back in the 70tys. And I realize we're living in terrible times. But there's a way to say things and treat people without being rude. If they're going to treat Black and Brown people like this, then they don't deserve our business. Respect goes along way. The only way I could post this was to give it one star. To the young lady who greeted me so cordially I'd give 5 stars. But for the business over all "Zero"
