Really enjoyed our experience with stylist Permelia Jesse. She was very friendly , gentle, professional, fun, light hearted polite and just made us ( my mom & me) feel like I was family..
The entire staff exhibited same !! Everyone was so laid back, but yet still very professional and approachable!! It was exciting to see them all learning and training!! What enthusiasm and curiosity to learn !!
Mrs Jesse showed such patience and showed her level of expertise, experience in teaching , hair and client care.. She created such a fun learning environment for both students and clients! I felt comfortable in asking questions !
She educated us on our hair issues and possible solutions to better hair care! We came out feeling more confident about my hair and excited about our hair journey!!
We both got a wave nouveau because we both believed this would allow our hair to rest and regain it natural form as well as grow , since the climate here is so dry. We both were quite pleased with the end results!?
We agladly recommend her and her beauty school to any one who’s looking for a great hair adventure, professional stylist and friend! For so long Pueblo has been lacking a good beauty shop and now we finally have one that can do Black,White Hispanic all types of hair but especially”black hair” Their barbers are awesome too. Please support and visit her business.( Center Beauty
College ) on Thank U Mrs Jesse & God Bless

We enrolled my nephew in the barber program after a meeting with Felicia at the school, who assured us that he would receive both instructional time and hands-on experience to study to become a barber. Since my nephew is still in high school, she confirmed that he could attend Saturday and evening classes to accumulate the necessary hours. He began the program on June 15th.

Unfortunately, after enrolling, we were told they lacked the customer base to hold Saturday classes. Throughout the summer, we faced continued cancellations due to insufficient student enrollment, which was not what we were promised. I reached out to the school multiple times to express my concerns regarding the lack of class hours and the absence of a barber instructor—an important fact that was not disclosed to us at the time of enrollment. Their response was dismissive, suggesting that as a business owner, I should understand their need to adjust their operating hours based on customer flow.

After that, the director assured me she was working to address the issues and fulfill their promises. However, class cancellations persisted for various excuses. It wasn’t until October 17th that I was finally informed that they had been evicted from their building and would not hold classes for a week while relocating. Here we are, three weeks later, and there are still no classes.

I made the decision to withdraw my nephew from the program and formally requested a full refund, along with a record of the hours he completed, so he could provide them to the new school he will be attending. Today, I received a call stating that a full refund would not be granted for the tuition I paid, nor for the kit we purchased, which contained cheap and non-functional items. I now have to invest in another kit for his new program.

I have been more than patient throughout this process. The consistent failures of the program are the sole reason for relocating him to a new school. Therefore, I expect a full refund for the tuition and equipment costs incurred. The director's refusal to accommodate this request is unacceptable. please do not waste you time or money at this school its a joke

if i could give this 0 stars i would biggest waste of money if you are thinking about attending here 0 guidance 0 structure you will learn on your own!!! i attend for the full program and regret every day i spent there such a waste of time they got evicted in october 2024 and didn’t tell the students their stuff ended up on the curb!! they collected tuition that month having already been to court and knowing this to whole time ! they overcharged a state program to help pay tuition they are greedy and nasty people ! the instructor ms toni is such a bully and nasty person she does not have the qualifications to be a teacher!!! don’t even know if she had a license shorty after she started as a RECEPTIONIST we lost all of the teachers she became the teacher ? i don’t recommend they are being investigated by the state!!! do not waste your money!!

This place has a new owner. Passing state board is non existing. They take the student money . No theory you learn on your own. Quality is very very poor. Go somewhere else where your state money will help teach you. Judgement listed for eviction. Use your money at a more reputable school.

Iv been going here for more than 10yrs now. I went in yesterday for my seasonal flat top. I made it clear when I came in that was the cut I wanted. I didn't see any faces I recognized. The young man who was to be my barber was polite and courteous. I asked where the instructor was that had been supervising my hair cuts for years and was told he had quit. This got my attention. He had been a military barber who understood what I meant by wanting a high and tight. A young lady came in an showed him a picture on her phone of what a flattop was.
This was a bit disconcerting. But after 6 months of letting my hair grow out an having to cut my bangs out of my eyes myself the week before just wanted my hair cut.I straight out asked him if he knew how to cut a flattop. He told me no. So I explained what guards to use on his clippers and to just give me a buzz fade leaving my hair long in the back. A cut I could and have done to myself at home.
Iv been letting students cut my hair since I was a teen. Not once did a instructor or supervisor come check on us. I don't think that there was one present at all. All the people there gave me the impression they were all students.
Not informing me when I came in that there was no one there who knew how to cut a flattop after waiting around a half hour was aggravating. Being under a time constraint I took what I could get.
For sure and certain this will be my last time going here. There's other beauty and Barber schools in Pueblo. My advice is to try one of them instead.

Got my hair cut today! I can’t remember the name of my amazing stylist but the whole crew was super friendly and welcoming! (I’m going to do some investigating and get her name and go back to her!!!) I love the way my hair turned out! I came in with a picture and a vague idea and left with a gorgeous hairdo! I’ve never been happier!! ❤️❤️

Took the whole family in for hair cuts. We will never go anywhere else. Ms. P and all her students are professional and kind. After 8 years of marriage my hubby said he has never seen my hair look better. Wonderful cut done for our daughter as well as men's cuts and beard trims for hubby and dad. Thank you for making our experience wonderful!!!!

Don't sleep on this place! I love going to a beauty college to get my hair done. The student takes time and care on your hair while they learn its a win win. Marty and Mrs. P were absolutely phenomenal! Affordable and the best hair care- its definitely a place for me 🙂
