Rahnay has been my barber for years now. She is quick and precise, consistently giving me exactly what I ask for. She also has wonderful ideas for when I want to change things up. I don't go to anyone else!

After trying multiple barbers/salons, I can easily say that Rahnay is the best haircutter in Oro Valley! Rahnay listens to you, pays attention to every detail, and is really SKILLED at her profession. It's easy to see that being great at her craft, while providing amazing customer service is important to Rahnay. As a snowbird who leaves in the summer, I had to come back to Arizona for a family funeral. I didn't have time to get my hair cut before I left the northwest. I reached out to Rahnay to see if she could squeeze me in. Rahnay's schedule was fully booked, but she offered to come into work before her shift in order to cut my hair. Rahnay is amazing, and what she does at the price she does it for, is amazing. She could easily raise her rates and all of her customers would keep coming to her!

Rahnay at CDO Barbershop has been cutting my hair since I moved here from Seattle in 2019. I’m very particular about how I like my high and tight and or fades and Rahnay is always on point, never left disappointed. When you go to someone for a service for so long they become more than a barber or stylist, they become your family. Her smile lights up the shop every time I go in. I am a every two week haircut kind of guy and each time I have an appointment I look forward to seeing family again. ? Everyone there makes you feel at home and welcome.

This barbershop is the best!!! If you want a great cut, at a reasonable price - by a great barber in an awesome atmosphere, This IS THAT PLACE!! From the moment you step inside you are greated with a smile and a Hi - How are you!! All the staff make sure they take a second and greet you, offer you a drink - before you grab a seat to get your next great haircut! Jen, Amy, Jeanie, and the rest of the staff are all top notch - but I'm partial to Amy as she has been cutting my hair for more years than I can count!! So many years that I no longer tell her how I want it cut, she knows and does an amazing job each and EVERY time!! This place makes you feel at home, safe - loved - cared for by all. You will hear stories from the regulars - that's me, and others - that make you laugh and smile. You won't be sorry getting your haircut here, and will recommend to your friends and family. Had a ladies shampoo, cut and style today with Rahnay. She did an exceptional job, the price was super reasonable, and she is extremely personable to boot! I will be back for sure!

Have to select at least one star but if there was an option I’d select ZERO STARS. I will never step foot in this barbershop ever again. I have been coming here and seeing the same barber for over 5 months. Then randomly out of the blue one day, I get grief from her that I have product in my hair and that next time I should come with “clean hair” as it is difficult to comb through and taper and fade with product in. She audibly SIGHED and grunted out loud when she could not get the comb through. When I commented that we could wash it i was told snarkingy that a wash was $25.00. (That’s a conversation for another time related to the high cost for washing hair seriously same price as a cut?). Anyway she continued to try and cut my hair with the product in and after being NOTICEABLY frustrated I finally said that’s ok , let’s wash it and you can charge me for the wash.

Let me tell you something. Not everyone has the ability to go to their haircut appointment with clean hair. I don’t have time to go home to wash my hair before my appointments. Never in my entire life have I EVER Been given grief about not having my hair washed before my appointment, and I get my hair cut every 3 weeks religiously. You have sinks RIGHT THERE for gods sake so the fact that I was made to feel like a fool for showing with product in my hair is completely unacceptable, uncalled for, and customers should not be made to feel like they’ve done something wrong.

In the end I was not charged for the wash but regardless I will NEVER RETURN to this establishment and it would be my recommendation to others to find a different barber shop. If you don’t mind being treated like an idiot when you show up with “dirty hair (with product in) then this is probably the place for you.

And finally a message to the owner should you choose to read your reviews, if you want more details about my experience, feel free to reach out. I will not shame anyone publicly or name the stylist here but if you want to know for the sake of making changes in your business please reach out and I’ll be happy to give you the details. I’m not looking for any compensation, you’ve already lost me as a customer forever, but I’ve run businesses at a high level before, and if it were me, I’d want to know what my staff were doing and how they treat the customers. Perhaps some coaching on customer service is in order for some of your staff.
