My daughter and I are so very grateful for getting to come and enjoy the camping here.
The staff are outstanding!

The other families that come are a joy to be camping alongside and eat with.
The food provided is great and plentiful.
It is beautiful in a way that is felt inside while outdoors in an amazing nature preserve!

It is the only actual camping I’ve done with my daughter, and before I tried camping with her, I had no idea camping could be so great and relaxing for both of us!

It is camping made as easy as possible while still being able to count as camping, which is fabulous!

I love the absence of WiFi and cell reception. It helps me and others connect in a real way in the precious moments while there.

Our first year doing a CBS family camp week (5 nights) was in 2022, and we’ve kept coming back each summer since then, and plan to continue coming back.

My daughter talks like she considers Campus By the Sea another home now and I assured her I’ll sign us up again for next summer, because she didn’t want to leave.

Always my favorite week of the year! We had three generations together for a week in paradise. The food, programming, waterfront and accommodations are the best! Most of all, the staff has always impressed us with their dedication, and their selfless servant hearts.

We found CBS through close friends and I can’t say enough amazing things about it. The staff is great. They make you feel like you have been a part of their family for years. Family camp is an escape from our crazy hectic lives and gives us the ability to connect with God on a whole different level. Only wish I had found this earlier. Can’t wait to go back.

Campus by the sea is an incredible weeklong Christian family camp on Catalina Island, where you can renew and reconnect with God, friends & your family. We’ve been attending this camp for over 20 years when friends invited us long ago, we had no idea what an impact it would make on our parenting, marriage, and raising up our five kids in California. There’s so many things to experience, learn, and love about this special place, where God meets those who seek him!

CBS was exactly what our family of four needed summer of 2024. We didn’t know it, but God did. It was our first time going to family camp and we are so thankful CBS was where we attended. Everything was Christ-Centered. The whole staff was incredible and the college staff was out of this world. We were blown away how the college age staff invested in the lives of our kids. You cannot help but be renewed after a week there. Sitting on the ocean all week and seeing God’s beautiful creation is incredible. The time with your cell phones away and quality time with family and making new friends is something that you can’t replace. We are so thankful for our first year and hoping for many more.

We had a great week at camp. It was so refreshing to spend time with other families and to get to learn more about Jesus and see his love in action. The added opportunities for snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, hiking and more were an added bonus. Can't wait to go back next year.

This is my second time here. It is a very beautiful campus with a good view of Gallagher's Cove. The staff are extremely friendly and the food is good. Note: no electricity in the cabins and there is not cell or internet service which is the point of a retreat and away from distractions.

Hiking to a cross overlooking the ocean leads to a great view on a clear day. There are water sports, pickleball, basketball, and volleyball.
