I've recently started going to this salon within the last year. I came here to see my regular nail tech, Anna. I've been seeing her since 2020 and I drive 45 mins to Plainfield just to see her! She always does an incredible job and I get so many compliments on my nails. I get dip nails usually and they are never ever super thick or lumpy like I unfortunately experienced before I started seeing her. She is new to this salon so I wanted to give her a shout out! Don't sleep on her, she is the best!

had been coming here for 9 months and just had the absolute worst experience ever at a nail salon. unfortunately no one gave me their names in this interaction.

the young-ish guy who did my nails (not Tony) did an absolutely abhorrent job. he was rushing because he “had another client”. i got dip powder and he kept adding things to the nail process without telling me what it was. he added something and said “they’re going to have a hard time getting that off” whatever the HELL that means, I’m scared. he messed up my top coat 3x before giving up and saying he was done. i got up to leave because i was exhausted and frustrated and was resigned to coming back the next day to get them fixed.

simple: if you have clients, DO NOT accept a walk-in, rush service, and destroy their skin & nails.

i sat down in my car and he had cured gel UV to my skin on the back of my hand (like, on my finger knuckles!) and the UV gel from my nail to my finger tip. i was bleeding and in pain. i couldn’t get the gel off by picking at it myself so i went back in.

the older woman who runs the front desk said that there was nothing they could do to fix it today and to come back tomorrow when they have time.

they ended up taking me after i was crying and begged them to do something because of the actual pain i was in.

the younger woman who fixed my nails was extremely polite, professional, and got them fixed for me. even took delicate care of peeling off the nail polish instead of using acetone because she didn’t want to dry out my skin. i wish i got her name because every time she has done my nails they have been great.

two stars because after 15 times of going to this salon, this was the only negative experience.

no discount, no refund, nothing for the pain and mistakes on their end. $67 for this endeavor before any tips given out (and yes, i tipped the guy who made me bleed. as crappy as a job he did, he still did a service).

i can barely do regular daily tasks like close a window or wash my hands because of the cuts on my fingers from the guy who did them.

time to find a new nail salon unfortunately.

I’ve been seeing Anna for the past 5 years, and she always does AMAZING work. I usually come in with a picture for reference, and she always goes above and beyond to create these designs. Highly, highly recommend her. I wouldn’t trust anybody else with my nails!

Christine is absolutely amazing! So happy I found her. The spa is very clean and everyone is so friendly. Christine is amazing at art on the nails. Love it here!!!

I absolutely LOVE this place. My favorite techs are Kim and Anna!!! They’re both SO sweet and do such a good job. I can’t have my full sets long, because I’m a massage therapist. And Kim was totally fine with that and understood, where as other places the techs would get annoyed and ask “what’s the point” but Kim did not judge me and I go to her every single time now. And I will be going to Anna for my designs because she’s so talented. 10/10 recommend this place.

I’ve been in Plainfield 25 years and this is one of the best nail places. I’ve tried them all. Kim is my tech she’s the best. The online booking is amazing. They are clean and treat us like queens and kings. Try them out you will not be disappointed.

I have been a regular customer here for almost a year. I get gel nail fills mostly but have had basic and more extensive pedicures, nail art, etc. I get my nails done every 2-3 weeks so I’ve been here a LOT (at least 15 times). I cannot say enough about how WONDERFUL this salon is.

If you know you know - when it comes to finding a nail salon that you can trust, rely on, and afford, you don’t want to share. 😂 But I love it here so much, I’m glad I finally found a place that is so helpful and accommodating!

I am so grateful for the calm, quiet, relaxing atmosphere at Buffed. I usually have my kids with me when they aren’t in school - just bring a tablet, headphones, and let them enjoy while you relax! The employees go above and beyond when wanting to make your visit go as you have planned.
