I came here for the 3rd time. They say 3 strikes you're out because that was my last time. 2nd time my braids did look professional but I'm surprised my brains didn't bleed. She did my braids so tight I said, they must be tired and don't want me as a customer anymore and I kept telling her not too tight. Then the 3rd time I wanted some knotless braids. The woman started my real hair off in a regular braid about a inch long before she started adding hair for the braids to be knotless. Then I didn't want the braids too small and the owner said it would be $200 and didn't even know the size of the braids I wanted. I felt like I was being robbed because she demanded the money on Zelle and I was trying to at least see the size of my 1st braid. The woman was steady trying to braid my hair talking bout, "pay the money" so after 2 braids I said that's too small. She said she'll make them bigger. I finally stood up to turn my back on the hair braider and she couldn't figure out what I was doing. Telling me to sit, sit like I'm slow and about to log into my account and transfer money to the owner Zelle while she looking. I told her dang can you wait I'm trying to pay the woman. I went on and Zelled $200 and she continued on messing my head up with these 1 inch braids with knotless braids hanging off it like she was starting off some micro root locs. Wish I could've took a picture. And the owner who acted like she needed that $200 so bad left for the day. I will never be back and I'm sure they don't care. I posted this review because some folks don't care about your money they'll still mess yo shit up on purpose cause they tired and the shop probably clocking about 1-2 thousand or more a day.

The owner has a very bad disposition and because she has lost so much business.She's tryingtercharge more money and higher pricexist.If you're a hard worker's in there are very good workers.And even though it seems to be family there'll been mistreated and overworked She scared that her workers are working on the side. I try to go back and give a large tip and a compliment, but she was very unfriendly.
With a aggressive bad attitude. Not good for business and it's dangerous because she has walking ins. And she thinks that's safe, but she's losing business. She's dealing with different energy today, somebody will get very upset and end app going off and tearing that place up. Never recommend ever again.

If you care about your hair, Never let them wash or comb out your hair. Please come with your hair washed and blow dried out as straight as you can. My hair went from extremely thick to very thin from just one bad trip there.

I took my daughter to this shop for feed ins, my daughter felt the lady who did her hair pull her hair when my daughter moved. When my daughter took her hair down she had a big bald spot in her hair. I told her my teen daughter who is in high school was crying because she now has a bald spot in the back of her head. It’s sad that these shops don’t do anything to rectify the situation. Shade needs to talk to the woman who did my daughter feed ins. This is unacceptable! I will never never recommend this place!

I called on Easter at the last minute. The lady at the back took me in , offer me something to drink. They accommodate me and I was in a wheelchair. I would recommend Braids by shade to anyone, they do a wonderful job and braid fast.

I've been coming here for 20+ years the atmosphere is always terrific and welcoming. These ladies are amazing and easy to talk to and they always understand the assignment!!! Everyone here works really well and fast, I would and have recommended them to everyone I know. I over coming here they are like family to me and everyone is terrific. Tb place is always pleasant and clean, I'm in and out in a timely fashion so I can still go ahead with my daily plans. They accept me on last minute notice and treats me perfectly, every time I leave I feel like a million dollars and I willbe coming here for the rest of my days.The sister hood these ladies have is the best, ppl need to understand time is money and braids take awhile so bring a book and relax you will love your results. This business will be around forever, much love and success

I 100% do not recommend this place for multiple reasons. 1) I asked for mid back length knotless braids with curls at the end and provided a picture for reference which she said she could do. I trusted the process and was disappointed in the end. I went to look in the mirror and the braids were not full, barely even reached my mid back, did not have curls at the end, the braids were loose, and the parts were messy. I was still Charged $200 for something that wasn't even close to what I asked for. 2) Not even a week later the braids started to look multiple months old. 3) I had arrived at the same time as another girl, I over heard her say that she wanted knotless goddes box braids, she got finished with her braids before me and when the little girl got up I noticed that the lady gave her regular box braids (with knots). 4) the seats were really uncomfortable, mind you I was sitting down for 5+ hours.
