I went in today for an eyebrow wax & tint. Jennifer was amazing! I hadn't touched my brows in about 10 months, and Jen gave me a super flattering shape. She really took the time to explain the services and help me understand how to care for my skin and my brows. Thank you!

I have been to this salon 3 times now. The first time was for my wedding so she took her time and let me tell you my eyebrows were so gorgeous and lasted forever!! So I made a second appointment months and months later on a Saturday at 9am. She texted AFTER she was supposed to be there to tell me she was running late and to wait in my car. Ok fine. Things come up. So she finally came and was apologetic. This time when she waxed my brows, she took off chunks of skin too and after I looked awful and wounded. Also, the color didn’t last as long that time. So now on to appointment 3, another Saturday 9am appointment and I sat there until 9:15am and she didn’t even text or call me this time!! I’m back at home now bc I just left after sitting for 25 minutes total (bc I was 10 minutes early as any respectable human should be for their appointment). It’s 9:30am now and I still haven’t heard from her. I left a message on her voicemail but I think a review will be helpful too. I’m disappointed bc I love supporting women lead businesses. I am one myself. Leaving a client waiting over 15 minutes 2/3 appointments isn’t an oops, it’s a choice and habit. And it’s a selfish mentality thinking her time is the only time that matters. If I can get to my appointment on time after working a 50 hour work week, leaving 3 kids, a husband, and 3 dogs at home, and driving across town on time, anyone can do it! Also, she’s started charging a fee for no show appointments, but she needs to think about what perks she’s going to give her clients for her own irresponsibility too. It goes both ways.

Wow, and Wow! I have been to 5 eyebrow tinting places (Normal, Bloomington, Rockford, St. Charles, Rochelle) and this is *THE* BEST Ever! Jennifer tinted my Brows and taught me how to care for and treat both the Brows and my dry skin. My Brows look beautiful and natural. She shaped them into a better, more flattering shape than I had ever tried before. I am SOooo happy that I finally found a talented, caring person and a salon where I will where I know I will get great service and advice. I will definitely be going back for other services as well. Highly recommend.!!

I had an appointment with Laura today to wax my brows. However, I left completely unhappy. She waxed off almost my entire right eyebrow tail off! It looks like I only have half an eyebrow.

Update (June 2021) - Wanted to point out that other poor reviews for this business were taken care of; owner responded to the review and made things right. I'm glad that was the case for other clients. My face still looks awful due to unprofessional microblading mapping and tattooing. I should say lack of mapping...nothing was measured out, so looking back, that should have been a red flag. I have since spent $600 on microblading, $600 on laser tattoo removal and $150 on a saline lightening treatment (Total of $1,350)...and still no contact from the owner of the business who gave me this huge mistake to begin with. (Picture inserted below; top picture after microblading; bottom picture after 2 laser treatments and 2 saline lift treatments). I now live with this terrible ink on my face and do not like getting pictures of myself taken. If the owner showed the tiniest amount of remorse, it might make things a little better...but nothing. I also wanted to point out to future clients that Jen recommended using vaseline after doing my brows, which I've heard from various other artists is a big "no". Just do your research and know what you're getting yourself into. There is a reason Jen's Instagram has no recent pictures of brows.

Initial Review (April 2021) - My initial experience with Jen was pleasant; she was sweet and kind and I trusted her to give me some great looking brows. I was so excited to get them microbladed. However, after months of not feeling confident in how they looked, I went to another artist to get them corrected. At that time, I learned the shape Jen gave me was all wrong. My brows were assymetrical and way above my natural brow line. In addition, the dye turned gray on my skin, so now I'm left with gray uneven brows way above my natural brow line. It's definitely frustrating because this is my face and not something I can cover up easily. I have written to the business's e-mail twice and have not heard back, so I wanted to share this experience with anyone else thinking about getting microblading done here. I do not recommend this business for microblading services.

Love love love Jennifer! Just came in town from four hours away, I was looking for threading but she quickly accommodated with waxing and I’m extremely pleased! Pays close attention to detail, super friendly and clean environment. I will for sure come back anytime I’m in town!

Jennifer is awesome. She is a kind and sincere person, and really does detailed work/takes her time. I had a Brazilian wax, and had my brows waxed and tinted. She also removed some melia(sp?) from my face. She is so awesome. I will definitely be back!
