It was time for beard shaping finally and Google reviews for "best barber near me" turned up Blake the Barber Blake Pecevich with 100 reviews at 4.9! That's unheard of especially in the barber game. Made a beard appointment easily online, received emails and text reminders and showed up today.

This unassuming white building is a bit deceiving because there is no visible signage and when you walk in the door it looks like an authorized patron only office building. There is a monitor rotating through a bunch of names and it's then you realize that this is a nice, exclusive feeling service you're about to get and that the building is actually what's called "My Salon Suite" and all the names are individually run salon and barber "suites"... like a private office building, but with entrepreneurs running their own businesses here unbeholden to a barbershop or bigger salon... they succeed or fail on their own in their own suite. I pressed the numbers for Blake, he answered and met me at the inside door to bring me back once he was done with his current customer... and right on time. ?

Blake was fantastic! Soft spoken, easy to talk to and a complete master of his craft. Mid-trim he turned me around and Alicia was visibly impressed. He worked retail for a number of years and decided to open his own shop about five years ago. His walls are adorned with three signed framed photos from the Navy Blue Angels and he encourages military and people of all stripes to come see him. He shaped me up perfectly, hot towel straight razor and all and I think Alicia even likes me more now!

If you are in Pensacola or travelling through and need to get cleaned up, Blake is your man! If we were here longer or living here, I wouldve just found my permanent barber!

I was in town for a work assignment this past week and needed a barber away from home. I got a mid-rise skin fade from Blake. Great technique, even all the way around, nice blend with no hard fade lines, great blend into my beard. Relatively young business but one can tell he is passionate about what he does. Engaging conversation as well. Overall pleasant experience with an excellent haircut. If I’m town again and need a haircut, I’m going back. I’d recommend Blake without reservation.

First timer. Blake was awesome and gave me one of the best haircuts and beard trims I’ve ever had in my life! The attention to detail, the hot towel, the straight razor, he even trimmed my eyebrows…perfection. I’m one of those guys whose sideburns don’t quite connect to the beard so he blended my low-condensed fade into the beard to make it transition well. Also, he had refreshments! Will be back!!
