When I lived in Berkeley I would come to Billy and always had the best experience. He is one of the nicest people, listens, and works quickly. You can tell how much he cares about his clients and wants you to feel good walking out. He cuts Asian hair extremely well. And in this economy I really appreciate how reasonably priced he is. Come visit Billy!

Billy is quite friendly, makes things very easy and the prices are reasonable for the area ($24 for a men's cut).

I'm generally not too specific with my haircut instructions and Billy just works with it. I've always been happy with the results.

Billy's Hair Design is great! Relatively new to the neighborhood, decided to cut and tidy up my long hair a few months back. Went here on a whim, and he was great. Super friendly, professional and caring work. Not crazy expensive rates you see at other places in the area either, very fair. Clean shop too. I recently went back for the second time and once again a great experience. You can't go wrong with Billy. Thanks!

Edit to my original review: Still love the service and style here and wanted to add I've started having people ask where I get my hair cut. I'm not trying to be overly stylish, but this has never happened with any other place I've gotten my hair cut. Billy is hands down the best.

My family and I've been going to Billy's for decades.
He's one of the few who really knows how to handle my slick straight hair. ? He's great with haircuts for East Asians, which not not a lot of people out there actually are knowledgeable about. Most people will just cut your hair the style you requested and not know/care whether it's appropriate for you. Billy's great at discussing and advising you on what is best for your face.
He's super affordable and nice too!
