A Hidden Italian Gem in Angel's Camp!

Talk about a lucky find! While wandering down Main Street in Angel's Camp, we stumbled upon Avellino Italian Market and Wine Bar – and boy, did we strike gold! This charming spot had us coming back two days in a row, it was that good.

The moment you step inside, you're wrapped in the warmth of beautiful woodwork and the inviting aroma of Italian delicacies. The space is wonderfully curated, with imported Italian treats, wines, beers, and gelato lining the shelves, just begging to be explored. But the real showstopper? Their outdoor patio that whisks you away to a cozy corner of Italy faster than you can say "Ciao!"

The amazing ladies running the place are the heart and soul of Avellino, bringing such genuine joy and warmth that you'll feel like you're being welcomed into someone's home. Their enthusiasm is absolutely contagious!

Our first visit was so delightful that we had to bring friends back the next day – that's how special this place is! We settled in at the bar that first night, where my husband enjoyed an Italian beer that reminded him of our springtime travels in Italy, while I savored a perfectly poured glass of imported Chianti. When we returned with friends, they fell in love with the spritzes!

Let's talk food, because oh my goodness! The charcuterie board is a feast of imported cheeses and meats that'll make your taste buds dance. The bruschetta deserves its own special mention – topped with these incredible semi-dried cherry tomatoes imported from Italy, it's simply divine. And the tiramisu? Pure Italian heaven! They also offer garlic bread and other small bites that are perfect for nibbling while you explore their wine selection.

Here's a pro tip: if you know you'll be enjoying more than a glass or two, you can pick any bottle from their market and enjoy it right there. Plus, its location right across from the movie theater makes it perfect for a pre- or post-show treat.

This place is such a find that we're already planning extra trips to Angel's Camp just to visit! When they say good things come in small packages, they must have been thinking of Avellino. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by – your taste buds will thank you!

What a gem in downtown Angels Camp! Outstanding small bites and Italian wines by the bottle and glass. Friendly staff wraps it all up. The charcuterie board is a meal for two. So happy yhat this is now part of the community.
