Holly Mae is the best! She is a gentle, calming, welcoming spirit. She will make you feel like you are catching up with an old friend when you are in her chair. She will accept you as you are, and work her magic to make your hair dreams come true. She isn’t pushy at all and will truly listen to your wants and needs and make them a reality. I have not worked with the other stylists, but they all provide a welcoming environment and build each other and their clients up. I cannot recommend anywhere better than Ambience.

Holly Mae is just amazing! She is personable and extremely knowledgeable. You will be welcomed immediately and feel at home instantly. My mom and teenage daughter also see Holly Mae and love her.

The owner of the salon has done my hair for 8 years. Obviously her skillset is phenomenal, but more than anything I appreciate the atmosphere she’s created in this salon- welcoming, nonjudgmental, positive and always affirming. They’re good at what they do here and they love people. Good folks and good stylists all around.

Kimber did an amazing job on my hair! I love the blonde and the cut; she even made time for my mom who wanted a last minute trim. The salon is welcoming and the stylists are all so sweet. Highly recommend.

The whole Ambience (get it?) of this place is comforting, accepting, and truly genuine. Everyone working here are so nice, talented, and relatable. All the stylists work well together, will compliment each others clients, and will ask each other for guidance if needed.The salon is kept very clean and is decorated tastefully. I typically feel overwhelmed in some salons but this one makes me feel far from it as I am relaxed and happy here. Holly Mae is the stylist/ owner and she does a fantastic job on my hair, (candy apple red with a platinum pink/blonde money piece). Holly Mae takes time to get to know you and what your hair needs. She is very professional and honest, she truly is special as she WANTS to curl your hair after your service whereas a lot of stylists do not want to and will actually charge extra for it. Also, she takes her time giving you a KILLER head massage when washing your hair. She is the best value and best service stylist I've been to and I'm so happy to finally find a salon I want to keep going to. I feel 100% confident that any of the stylists at this salon would do a stellar job on my hair!

Holly Mae at Ambience Salon is a phenomenal colorist & all around the BEST hairstylist I’ve found in the 8 years I’ve lived in the Augusta area! She is knowledgeable, friendly, always willing to explain each process/pricing and ALWAYS focused on keeping your hair healthy. She’s done everything from my cuts, highlights, color, to formal hairstyles etc. and every time it turns out amazing! The entire staff is equally great, I recommend them to everyone I know!
