Despite having a consultation which included pictures and some discussion, I ended up with a cut that looked nothing like what I had requested, which was a long Lob with the ends slide cut a bit for shaping. I'm frankly not sure what the 'French Precision Cut' is all about, because I sure didn't get one. Tommy took all of 10 minutes if that, to cut off the length of my hair, followed by a trim of the ends. that was it. I have watched hundreds upon hundreds of hair cutting videos over the years so I know precisely what it looks like for a stylist to really work at cutting a client's hair --including a Lob - and there was no effort put into cutting my hair in any sort of 'precision' manner. The cut was followed by a blow dry and that was it. Then end result was nowhere near that of being a Lob. Matter of fact, I have no idea what type of haircut I ended up with. I'm still unable to style it. When I asked about having more height on the crown he actually told me there were plenty of layers and that my hair was 'too damaged' to cut. If it was too damaged, why did he not mention that during the consult, and why did he bother cutting my hair? In the end I left the salon looking like a Golden Girl from the 80s. It took me 2 years to grow my hair out so I could get a great cut. Had I known he was going to do whatever he wanted with my hair I would have paid for the consult and left. Instead, I ended up with a very expensive, very poorly done haircut.
