Beautiful property, excellent food, and great atmosphere. Great private event spot with cozy lodging. Guests kept saying how magical our wedding at the Lodge was, even down to the campfire circle outside. 40 people was a perfect fit, although not all stayed overnight. Patrick and Petra made it an easy and amazing experience!

Patrick and Petra are lovely hosts! Patrick was very responsive and accommodating to us as we planned our wedding to be held at the lodge. We had a group of about 25 people stay for the weekend, and we were pleasantly surprised how spacious the lodge felt for our group size. Patrick was also the chief for our reception, and we highly recommend him! The views are lovely, the property feels private, and the lodge has plenty of charm. We'll always remember High County Lodge fondly.

In June 2024 our family met at High Country Lodge for a weeks vacation in the mountains. The lodge is located up on the side of a mountain above Breckenridge, CO. The views from the large back deck offered beautiful, scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Some mountains still had some snow on them adding to their majesty. The large, spacious lodge had 12 bedrooms and our six families consisting of 24 members ages 4-82 years old had many choices for sleeping arrangements. For relaxation, the lodge had four seating areas on three floors. The main floor with a fireplace was an adult gathering space to enjoy a nightly fire and retell our daily adventures. Most of our family liked hiking and tried different trails with many close to the lodge. We were always alert for wildlife and did see moose, deer, and fox. No elk! A moose walked thru the property twice and gave us a thrill. I would recommend High Country Lodge for a large family vacation.

In conclusion, my stay at the High Country Lodge surpassed my expectations. Patrick and Petra's dedication to their guests and their commitment to excellence are truly admirable. I brought our family of 27 for a most fabulous week ever. Annual family vacations for 10 years now presents challenges to do better then the year before. Everyone agrees that High Country Lodge is now in "First Place" as the best vacation ever. Patrick and Petra are fabulous hosts, and the Lodge is perfect for large family gatherings. We will definitely return, and highly recommend to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

The HCL is absolutely incredible! We had our wedding here and it was perfect for a DIY wedding. With built in catering and even on arch on site, it was perfect for our special day.This space has a lot of character and plenty of rooms for large groups. The property is spectacular and all of the acreage gives you a very private experience. The host, Patrick, was extremely accommodating for everything and is an incredible chef that was able to cater multiple delicious meals for our whole group. This place is a gem that I would definitely recommend.

Our family’s stay at High Country Lodge was perfect in every way. Patrick and Petra were so hospitable and personable. They prepared excellent food for our family of 23. Before arrival, Patrick was very easy to communicate with and a helpful trip planner. We also used him for transportation to and from the ski slopes daily. Patrick and Petra were extremely patient with our excited and boisterous family. The lodge itself is so homey and a comfortable place to spend the evening after a long day of skiing. The numerous bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for our family to spread out in. If there was anything we needed during our stay, Patrick and Petra were on in. I believe this lodge was the perfect place for our family to vacation and if we are ever in Breckenridge again we will absolutely stay here!

Enjoyed a great week in Breck at the High Country Lodge. Patrick was great to work with and very accommodating for our large group of 33 people. He takes great care of the property and even plowed the driveway early every morning so we could get first tracks on the slopes. Perfect location if you're skiing Breckenridge, Copper, or any of the nearby mountains. Would definitely recommend, and hope to be back next year!
