It’s always harder to fix a bad haircut than to just do a normal cut, and we came in with my son having a bad hair cut from a different local barber the previous day. We had showed her a picture of a v shape drop fade and ended up with nothing remotely close, in fact the v was at least an inch off center to the left so we had to scrap the v shape completely. When we got home and I realized how bad the back was, I panicked a little and called XAAK and they were able to squeeze us in as a walk in. He helped me figure out the best thing to do with it, took his time to be be precise and made it look 100% better and also helped me figure out how we need to grow it out to be able to get to the v shape I want for him. I am super happy and we will be back. James may specialize in ethnic barbering, but he’s definitely great with fine, light white boy hair too. Don’t be like me and waste $45 going to a different barber and having to get it fixed.

On a side note, whenever I read any bad reviews on google, I make sure to read any other reviews that same person has left for other business… a lot of times they don’t have anything good to say about anyone. Some people will whine about anything and that says way more about the person that the business. I recommend doing that with any negative review on this shop as well 🙂

I just moved to Fort Collins a week ago, and was worried about finding a really good barber in my area. Well my stepson had been telling about this barbershop prior to me moving from NC. So I looked him up online and was impressed by what I had seen online. And I have to say that James did NOT disappoint! Not only was he welcoming and friendly but he also made you feel like you had been a customer for years! In my 40yrs, I've only had 3 people cut my hair and now I'm happy to say that I've found #4. I had an amazing experience at XAAK’s Barber Shop! James, the owner, gave me a fade with a textured cut on the top with a beard trim, and it’s easily the best cut I’ve ever had. I was used to the precision and attention to detail you get in Houston, so I wasn’t sure if I’d find that in Loveland—until I sat in James’ chair. Every time I go in, I always get a clean cut, James goes above and beyond and cleans me up a little extra sometimes. It is a bit pricier but you definitely get what you pay for here. My barber moved away so finding one I liked has been a struggle until I came here.
