No worries! I forgive you and wish you the best of luck with your business. I've had great experiences with waxing since 8 months ago! I'm sure you've had great clients since then as well. No need to continue to drag this out. Please refrain from updating your responses with more details about how we were both rude. Respectfully, focus on the people that highly rate your services instead of those that took issue with it. (1/6/25)

Another update: The owner offered a partial refund. I assumed it was going to be a full refund. There was a heated email exchange. I blocked her before she had a chance to respond. I suppose she will comment here.
It's still a one star.

Edited for an update: I just got off the phone with the owner. She was very kind and apologetic. She offered solutions to get the wax out of my hair. And she explained that Savannah is in training and credited the mistake to her nerves. I could sense that she was nervous, so I understand. She offered a refund, a discount on my next visit or a touch up. The refund was most convenient for me.

I've tried this place four times. I've had Reese, Anastasia, and Savannah. I usually get a brow, lip, and chin wax. I'm a PCOS girlie.

Reese did the best overall wax. I saw her in between my appts with Anastasia. But Reese isn't there anymore.

I saw Anastasia twice. She did great the first time. The second time, I literally still had chin hair. I was stubbly within a few hrs. I booked online at the last minute. The appt was accepted, but I could tell that she definitely on her way out the door. The wax wasn't the right temperature, and she mentioned having to pick up her kids for a practice. She shouldn't have taken my appointment.

I should've stopped at that appt, but I was in a bind, and Pooler Day Spa couldn't fit me in.

So, I went again. I had Savannah this time. I only wanted a chin and lip wax. I still have hair on my chin and lip. Granted it's not a lot of hair. But it is dark hair, and any good esthetician follows up their work by tweezing.

The real trouble is Savannah dropped wax on my jacket and in my hair. She told me about the wax on my jacket. I didn't find out about the wax in my hair until I got to the mirror in my car. I was inspecting her work, just like I do with any other person that has ever waxed my face, and I noticed several drops of wax in my hair.

I have locs, so I had to pick the wax out because essentially it soaked into my hair. I'm not even mad about the wax going in my hair. That's a reasonable thing that could happen.

But to not tell me I had wax in my hair..that's not ok.

Until my most recent visit, I've had great service. I have a bad back, which is why I get waxed. It's hard for me to bend over at times, so I was unable to check the quality of service at the last visit. The lady I normally see was not there anymore, and I was still expecting the same level of service. Halfway through my appointment with the new lady and she said she's still learning and not very good with soft wax. I had huge spots on my thighs missed and multiple smaller spots everywhere else. If I had been told up front that she was still learning or not very adept with soft wax, I would have passed and saved my money.

I had a Brazilian wax by Manar!! She was very sweet, engaging, knowledgeable, & efficient with her work! I will definitely be back! (Love the salon aesthetic as well!)

Got my brows waxed Friday afternoon, first time trying this place. And the lady who waxed told me got me a little it’s not noticeable. The next day it is very noticeable , it burns extremely bad. Never in my many years getting waxed has this happen to me. I do not recommend this place.

Amazing and luxury experience!! Manar was my waxer and she was amazing I will definitely be booking again!! Owner is sweet and the spa looks very expensive and elegant ?

As a single, minority, women owned small business owner; I really appreciate everything this place stands for. The new owner is amazing and made me feel so welcomed and I have been coming here for last 6 months and feel so comfortable. The one time there was a very rude employee that was cursing and causing a loud verbal issue, she handled it so calmly and made me feel safe as well as her other employee. From services to character I just feel like I have so many nice things to say about this place that I had to just voice my opinion and review this establishment. So many services that are effective for my skin type, fair prices; and they are not looking to just sell you overpriced packages for things like laser, Jana the owner and Isabelle really care and what to treat me and actually care about my results and not just a dollar. Always a pleasure see you next month!!!
