This is by far the best place in N.E. Ga for a Man/Boy to get a fresh cut. The atmosphere is great and so are the folks that work there. I got really lucky in finding this place and without a doubt recommend it.

The shop is hard to get in and out of. As a public business establishment, it is better for the owner and staff to remain neutral and not involve themselves in issues that have nothing to do with their business, and speak of things in their shop that they do not have the true and complete facts about. Before taking a stand publicly, it would be a good idea to discuss the issue with the employees. Gossip is not professional.

Let me start by saying that this was our first experince at Whelchel's Barber Shop and I'm a very picky Momma when it comes to my boys haircuts. I called the barber shop at noon on a Saturday to see what time they closed and if I needed to make an appointment for my son and husband to get a haircut. The gentleman that answered the phone was very friendly and told me that they do close at 1pm on Saturdays, however, it's no problem at all and to go ahead and send them in. So I did. Well, I gotta say I was worried about how well my autistic son would cooperate. When they returned home from the barber shop, they both got out of the car smiling! So was I! Their hair looked SO good!!! Both of their haircuts were done by Miss Lisa. She was very patient with my son and took her time making sure to do a thorough job on both their haircuts. She also gave my little guy a lollipop for a job well done! We will definitely become regular customers. The store was clean and organized and ran by EXTREMELY talented and friendly folks! I could not ask for more! We'll definitely be seeing them again in 4 to 6 weeks! I HIGHLY recommend Whelchel's Barber Shop! So if you read reviews, like I do, just take my word for it and see for yourself. I guarantee you'll be glad you did!

Great people, friendly, great price and they really know what they're doing and few barbershops that use straight razors and hot towels don't charge an arm and a leg this is one of them. This is my Barber.
