Our son has been a student at Gracie Barra Fleming Island for some time now and it's been a great experience in every way. We've seen him grow and learn from all of the coaches. They do a great job creating a welcoming environment for new members, and making what could be an intimidating environment for a kid an easy transition. If you're looking for a place to that mixes discipline, fun and is full of great teachers, this is it.

My daughter has been a part of Gracie Barra Fleming Island for just over a year now . It was the best decision we’ve made for her as an extracurricular activity. She has learned discipline, respect, her self esteem has strengthen along with her physical shape. She has made so many great friends, and is excited to go to class. She has competed in 3 tournaments so far and has multiple gold medals. We are very proud of what she's accomplished with the help of the coaches and students. The teachers are all very helpful and caring about all the kids. I highly recommend letting your child try it out

My family and I have been training there for a little over 2 years and we absolutely love it. Everyone there is so nice. The professors and instructors are amazing with children and they really enjoy it. There are many families that train there so it really makes for a great training environment. Professor Max is very knowledgeable in jiu-jitsu and is amazing at imparting that knowledge appropriately for each age group.

Absolutely love the Gracie Barra school in Fleming Island. We enrolled our 10 yr old and soon to be 5yr old a little over a month ago and they LOVE it! Professor Max, Coach Eddie, and all the other instructors are just amazing with the kids. They are patient, nuturing, and stern with the kids when necessary. We plan to keep our kids in this for as long as they like. Thank you all again for being so wonderful

Best in town!!! I've been to other BJJ places in town and GBFI is definitely the most welcoming for newbies and with a sense of friendship and camaraderie. The classes are very diverse and the instructors keep it challenging. All in all, a great place to get a good workout and make new friends.

From day 1, the staff, students and everyone associated with Gracie Barra Fleming Island have been excellent beyond description. The leadership, camaraderie and superb example they set for the students (my son) is unmatched! If you’re considering Jiu Jitsu for yourself or a family member, no need to look anywhere else!

I have family in Fleming Island and visit often, so I needed a spot to train down there. This gym was very welcoming and allowed me to train with them. Fantastic instructors and even better members. Can't wait to come back!
